Hi! I specialise in historic tours in and around Brussels since 2014. My calling is to give you...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Raf D. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
The Mont des Arts / Kunstberg (yes, Brussels is a bilingual city) is the perfect start to visit the city. A gripping panorama, an easy downhill access to the old city center via a lively neighborhood will get you immediately acquainted with the capital of Belgium. On this tour I take you from the Central Station area for a tour on the Mont des Arts / Kunstberg where the Royal Palace is situated. Do you know it is originally a Dutch palace ? And what is beneath the street level is even more interesting. We look at the urbanistic demands that ordered a complete 'Expo 58' style to this later museum quarter. We enjoy the beautiful views on the city. Right next door are the Margritte and Music Instruments museums.
Meet at the Central Station or any nearby place where is best. We walk up the hill passing palaces from all times and numerous museums. It is possible to enter a specific museum (not included in the tour price), where I can guide you. If that is something you'd enjoy, let me know. Possibility to continue afterwards to the European Quarter to the east, or the Sablon/ Zavel are to the south, towards the extravagant Brussels Court House (or is it a palace, too?). * This itinerary can be customized. Feel free to contact me.
