Originally from Long Island, New York, I came to Belgium in September, 2000, to study philosophy at the University of Leuven, just outside Brussels. I thought I would be here for just one year, and somehow 26 years have already gone by. I fell in love with Brussels and Belgium for so many reasons, the friendly people, the natural beauty, and its location right in the heart of Europe. I love how international Brussels is, and how it has been a European crossroads for centuries, yet at the same time it is also dynamic and modern. There is a real connection with the past here and you feel it all everywhere in the city and its surrounding landscapes. For over 15 years, I’ve been leading tours not only in Brussels, but to rest of Belgium as well: to Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent, Liège and even to the Abbeys in the Ardennes hills, where monks have been making Trappist beers for centuries. I always try to adapt my tours as much as possible to my clients needs and interests. So, please, by all means, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have a particular interest, or area that you want to find out more about… I’m happy to tailor any tour to your requests. I hope to see you soon in Brussels where we can share some stories, a bit of history, and some fun in this unexpected gem of a town. Let me show you what I love of Brussels.

Come join me for a exciting walk through the heart of historic Brussels. A true crossroads, Brussels is both the capital and largest city of Belgium, as well as the seat of both the European Union and NATO. Here the Flemish and French speakers mingle, along with people from all over Europe and beyond, making this quaint and friendly city surprisingly modern and cosmopolitan as well. Join me as we discover her fascinating history and admire her old world charms, as we stroll along vibrant boulevards and squares, all chock-a-block full with great cafés, restaurants and world-class shopping.
- We start at the Grand Place, the heart of Brussels, and City Hall, then to Mannequin Piss, the city's mascot. - Along Boulevard d'Aanspach, transformed to a pedestrian park, and the city’s main artery. - Then we head to the Hall Saint-Géry, former indoor market place/cultural center. - Then to Place Sainte-Catherine and Sainte Catherine Church, and the Marché aux Poissons square, the former harbour of Brussels, and still has the best seafood restaurants in town. - Then up onto the roof of the new City Hall, for the best views. Then to the historic covered shopping of the Galeries royales Saint-Hubert, as we make our way up to the Cathedral of Brussels, a Gothic masterpiece. - Next we continue on to the beautiful Royal Park, laid out in the traditional French fashion. From the park we can view the Royal Palace. - And finally we we pass by the Museum of Fine Arts and end our tour visiting the Petit and Grand Sablon, and the beautiful 15th century church of Notre-Dame du Sablon.
