Originally from Long Island, New York, I came to Belgium in September, 2000, to study philosophy at the University of Leuven, just outside Brussels. I thought I would be here for just one year, and somehow 26 years have already gone by. I fell in love with Brussels and Belgium for so many reasons, the friendly people, the natural beauty, and its location right in the heart of Europe. I love how international Brussels is, and how it has been a European crossroads for centuries, yet at the same time it is also dynamic and modern. There is a real connection with the past here and you feel it all everywhere in the city and its surrounding landscapes. For over 15 years, I’ve been leading tours not only in Brussels, but to rest of Belgium as well: to Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent, Liège and even to the Abbeys in the Ardennes hills, where monks have been making Trappist beers for centuries. I always try to adapt my tours as much as possible to my clients needs and interests. So, please, by all means, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have a particular interest, or area that you want to find out more about… I’m happy to tailor any tour to your requests. I hope to see you soon in Brussels where we can share some stories, a bit of history, and some fun in this unexpected gem of a town. Let me show you what I love of Brussels.

Join me for a stroll through the historic heart of Brussel’s and experience the iconic tastes of the city. We start the tour visiting 2 different chocolate makers to hear a bit of the history of Belgian chocolates and of course to sample both solid Belgian chocolate and the Belgian pralines. Next we continue on to a well-known confectioner to taste fresh Brussels style waffles with whipped cream. Later we move on to the more savoury and taste the delicious crispy doubled-fried Belgian frites, served with a variety of special sauces. And to top it all off, we’ll visit one of the centuries old brown cafés where we can choose from a wide variety of Belgian beers. Come and take a walk with me as we sample the delights of the Belgian capital.
