Dorthy showed us the highlights and the unique sites of Brugge. We walked the city, we tasted the best chocolate, sampled the local beers, and then escaped to Dammes for a bucket of mussels w/ garlic and creme, local frites, and storks on their nests atop the chimneys. The other wonderful thing is when your guide is as interesting as the sites you are seeing. Everything is just memorable when this combines.

A day in Brugge combined with a visit to scenic Damme (approx 20 min by car) Some of the must sees in Bruges: • The Burg Square & the Basilica of the Holy Blood. • The Belfry Tower dominates the city skyline, and you’ll learn about its role in the city’s history as a medieval bell tower and watchtower. • The Markt Square – The Heart of Brugge with its surrounding guild houses. • Canal Walks: Brugge is often called the “Venice of the North,” and the canals are the perfect place to admire the city from a different perspective. • Saint-Johns hospital: founded in the 12th, one of the oldest preserved hospitals in Europe. • The Minnewater Lake: The "Lake of Love," where we enjoy a peaceful view of the swans gliding across the water. • Some hidden gems & charming squares often overlooked by large tour groups. After our visit in Bruges, we drive to Damme. Damme is a hidden gem just outside Bruges, the perfect place to experience authentic Flemish life away from the crowds.
