Hello World ! Belgium Calling ! I am Peter and Belgium is my home. Over 40 years I traveled professionally as a Tour Conductor with groups to destinations all over the world. Amazed about the beauty of each destination I had the pleasure of visiting. Privileged I had the chance to get acquainted to friends world wide. Every time I came back to my home country I was both frustrated and impressed by our tiny country. Frustrated because so few people in the world seem to know us and Belgians seem to be the worst anti-chauvinists. Impressed by its beauty, its wonderful historic cities, its nature and its culture and heritage. I retired from my job in tourism in June 2019 and am now a full time guide. I am an official City Guide in Antwerp. Brussels, Ghent, Bruges and our beautiful rivers (as a guide on river cruises) came next on the list. Flanders Fields (WWI) and Bastogne (WWII) are often visited by my guests. I want to share my knowledge and passion for Belgium to all of those whom I guide. Apart from my experience as a tour guide and a city guide I am also a specialist in Belgian Beers - the Belgian Beer Culture is a Unesco heritage - and I had the pleasure of attending courses at the Callebaut Chocolate Academy. Let me share my knowledge of my country on your next visit. A regular tour can be booked here but I prefer to work tailor made. I can offer either walking tours or driving/guide you around in my luxury Van seating 5 passengers. Cruise to shore private tour from port of Zeebrugge.
Overview of your Bruges tour
This private tour will start with me welcoming you at the Zeebruges Cruise terminal at 9 or 10 am (depending of cruise shedule). Zeebruges to Bruges will take less then 30 minutes. First we drive round the medieval city, in order to admire the impressive city gates and ancient windmills. Then we start a walking tour through the historic center of the beautiful city : Our Lady Church , with the only Michelangelo statue outside Italy: Madonna with child, also featured in the movie "The Monuments Men" The Market square with its impressive Belfry and medieval guild houses. The Burg Square with the Holy Blood Chapel, the stunning beauty of the Gothic Hall at the City Hall. Passing by the Saint John's Hospital towards the oasis of silence of the Beguinage and ending at the romantic" Lake of love" with the impressive swans. A 30 minutes canal trip is optional and there will be ample time for shopping, beer and chocolate tasting. Welcome to the Venice of the North !

We had so much fun touring Bruges with Peter! He taught us all about the history and delicious food of this beautiful place. The tour felt really special because Peter showed us places only locals know to visit. His sense of humor and knowledge of the area made the outing fun for all of us, including our three teenage sons. It was such a relief to have Peter pick us up from the cruise port in his nice van. We didn’t have to worry about how to get into and out of the Bruges center. It was also great that we had our own private guide. We saw other large tour groups and I knew we had a superior experience because we could easily hear Peter and he really personalized the places we visited according to our wishes. He also knows so much about the local beers and chocolates —and where to get the best fries and waffles! He got us back to our cruise ship before boarding time with no stress. 🌟

-08h30, 09h00, 09h30 or 10h00 : meet and greet at the cruise terminal and leave for Bruges, arriving after 20-30 minutes. -My VIP Minivan (Peugeot Traveller) has a capacity of 5 seats. -Walking tour of Bruges including entrance tickets for the Michelangelo Madonna and the Holy Blood Basilica. -Optional canal cruise (30 minutes). -Taste a delicious Belgian chocolate and have a "Brugse Zot" at the Bruges the city brewery. -You will have some free time for lunch and shopping. -Return tot he cruise terminal late afternoon. -The Tour can of course be adapted to your specific wishes as I am very flexible in order to produce the perfect itinerary for you. -If you are not arriving by ship the same tour can be organized from any city in Belgium (within 100km) e. g. Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen, . . . I will be happy to advise you the transfer times from these cities.
