Two for one in this suggestion. First a walking tour to discover and enjoy all the highlights of the downtown of Bruges. Then a break to taste the Belgian gastronomy: chocolate, beer, fries. . . Finally a cycling tour in the lovely countryside of Bruges. We will cycle through old palaces, castles, picturesque mills and romantic landscapes. A must for nature lovers visiting Bruges.
1. Walking tour. First we visit the city centre of Bruges by foot. It's the best way, because usually it's quite crowded and the streets are narrow and with cobbled stone. You will see all the highlights, the romantic canals, the medieval towers, the ancient small houses. . . 2. Time for a break to taste the famous Belgian chocolate and to eat the famous French fries or something else. 3. We take the bicycles. The outskirts of Bruges are amazing beautiful, calm (there are almost no tourists) and ideal to visit by bicycle. 4. I plan de cycling tour according to your interests. Ideas: - We can go to Damme (10 km tour). You will enjoy the typical polder landscape (rows of trees and grass fields stretching to the horizon), historical mills and the historical Damme (the old port of Bruges in the medieval times). - We can visit the palaces around Bruges (25 km tour). We cross ancient beech forests and discover romantic castles and farms in the middle of the countryside. Really beautiful!

The first part is a walking tour. For the cycling tour I show you a place where you can rent the bicycles. It costs around 15 euros per bicycle.
