I highly recommend Peter for any tours in Belgium. We did a 2 day tour of Brussels and Bruges. He is fun, knowledgeable and flexible. It amazed me that he thought of things my kids ages 4 and 7 would like such as Mini Europe in Brussels. He made reservations for restaurants in advance. He was also flexible when our group of 8 had impromptu change of plans as well. Peter is a former airborne military man and I enjoyed talking military history WWI, WWII with him. Thousands of miles away, you brought a tiny French community together to respectfully share we me and our group of six, the grief for the sacrifice of my great uncle killed in WWI, 107 years ago. In addition, a military enthusiast, you authored a personalized overview of that war period including provided family documents. Your depth of understanding enhanced this very indelible moment in life, my long time dream, more than fulfilled. In addition, a brief tour of Brussels and a day long tour of the gem city Bruges. Again, your wealth of knowledge brought it all to life. Traveling is not only about what you observe, but the stories that embellish it all. Peter, you did far more than that !!!
Peter was outstanding and fantastic with the way he planned our three days in Brussels; city tour, Bruge and Leuven. His knowledge and the information he shared about the sites we saw and Belgium were great!! The van we used was clean and neat, and Peter was not just on time each day, but early. This was our first experience with Tours by Locals, and Peter made us feel safe, and comfortable. Your Bruges tour itinerary
We pick you up at your hotel in Brussels, trainstation, address. . . for a "privat tour" in our privat car(3 pers. ) or privat minibus(8 pers.). When we arrive in Bruges we start with a nice walk through the historic part of the city. Highlights are the Minnewaterparc known as the lake of love, the lockhouse part of the many canals of bruges, the beguinage, the Wallsquare and her brewery, the Our Lady church, the Gruuthuuse castle, Den Dyver and her artists, the basilic of the holy blood, the Belfry. . . we end our trip with some free time to go shopping and taste chocolate in the local artisan shops. Extra/suggestions : a boattour (30 min. ) or a brewery guided visit (1, 5h) incl. tasting. (both suggestions are not included in the price and require an additional charge).
