For 30 years I have been working as a teacher in an elementary school, I'm retired now, but I still keep working as a Tour Guide. I'm a quiet person and I like to organize relaxed tours, no rushed, taking our time in each stop, enjoying the day. I love Tango Music, I'm a tango dancer and tango teacher, I go to dance twice a week. I love the history of this of this city, called "The Paris of South America", cradle of writers, musician, soccer players and artists. Buenos Aires is surrounded by a "halo" of mystery. I would like to take you to lead you in Buenos Aires, taking you to explore every single corner, telling you every single story and admiring every single iconic place. I like to provide you a complete introduction to our history, but I also like to share with you my favorite places (not necessary touristic places), to test "empanadas" in my favorite restaurant, to see street art and to listen local music…in other words, to share with you a day immersed in our culture. After spending 4 hours visiting the highlights of Buenos Aires we will go to visit to a traditional "Milonga" (Tango Club where Argentinians gather to dance and listen tango in a natural, spontaneous way). In this way, you will get to know the real tango culture, its anthropology, its origins, its present, its customs and the way of feeling and dancing it. We will not visit the tango shows circuit or staged traditional circuits that are choreographed for tourists, it is the place where I GO TO DANCE EVERY WEEK FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS!!!! It is not compulsory to dance, and you can remain seated on a table around the dance floor, watching how people dance, having a drink and listening about codes and rules of the milonga, stories and tango history.
We love to dance tango, so the highlight for us was the milonga. And we got lucky, there was even live orchestra, so the experience was even better than we expected. And previous tour of the city was very interesting as well and helped us to get the first quick orientation.
Tango dancing was a first for us and wonderful because Mirta is an accomplished dancer. Loved every moment !

Just a wonderful Tango tour! Mirta and her driver/tango partner were excellent teachers and gave us a fantastic understanding of tango dancing. The milonga we attended was fun and gave us a real insight into how the people, young and old, of Buenos Aires tango. We recommend this tour to anyone who can dance at all.
