I'm Ariel, born and raised in the Jewish quarter of Buenos Aires, widely known as "Once", I became an enthusiast of both Jewish history and culture. My grandparents survived the Holocaust and arrived to Argentina in 1948. Thus I decided to embrace my own history and I am writing my PhD thesis about the immigration of the Holocaust survivors to Argentina. I collaborate as a research assistant with the University of North Carolina at the Chappell Hill in a project related to the history of Cuban Jews before the communist revolution. I also teach Holocaust History at the Conservative Rabbinical Seminary in Latin America. As a historian whose area of interest and expertise is the history of Argentinian Jewry, I served as a consultant for the local Jewish Museums - the Holocaust Museum and the Jewish Museum of Buenos Aires. I am the former coordinator of the archive at the Jewish Museum, member of the Jewish Studies Organization in Argentina (Núcleo de Estudios Judíos) and of the Latin American Jewish Studies Association. Licensed Tour Guide of the City of Buenos Aires Working Historian I'm a tour guide, not a driver, so four my tours I would hire a professional driver to get us around.

With this tour you will get to know Buenos Aires from north to south. Allow me to take you to the main attractions of the city, from historical sites, to parks, markets, government buildings, among other things. We will speak about the history of Argentina, its present and its past, as well as visit the famous Recoleta Cemetery, where former First Lady of Argentina Eva Peron (widely known as Evita) is buried. There, we'll have the chance to talk about her influence and that of President Peron in Argentina's politics and their impact til this day. We will visit impressive places such as the astonishing Puerto Madero, a reconditioned dockside area with upscale buildings, bars, and restaurants, with a striking white bridge over the water, and La Boca, a colorful and picturesque area with nice markets located in the shore of the river, where some say Tango was born. We'll stop an hour for lunch at a restaurant that serves local dishes, but we could also stop at one of your choosing. Customizable itinerary:
