Mercedes was fantastic, very personable and so knowledgeable about the city. We were immediately at ease with her during our tour. We saw many historical sites and obtained a wonderful overview of the city, both by driving and walking. She provided an especially great visit to Recoleta cemetery. We had chatted before the tour and I was so impressed that I booked a second tour with her as well, before even taking this tour. As someone said, a 6-star rating!
We would give Mercedes 6 stars if we could! We spent an enjoyable 6+ hours. She was knowledgeable about all things Buenos Aires- history, culture, flora, and fauna. She is personable and kind. We let her decide where to take us and feel we got a comprehensive overview to this great city. Highly recommend!
Mercedes did a wonderful job with our gang of 9 showing and telling us so much about the history and culture of Buenos Aires. We loved being able to take public transit between the neighborhoods as this gave you and even better feeling for the beauty of Buenos Aires and its' people.
If you are lucky enough to find Mercedes available, snap her up. She is a font of all things Buenos Aires. I was singularly impressed with the depth and breadth of her expertise on pretty much any subject. This tour was a great mix of historical sites and modern areas of interest. We both walked and drove (with a driver). Mercedes is warm, charming and fun to be with. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her for any tour - any time. We left with a greater understanding of Buenos Aires history and its place in the world.
Mercedes communicated promptly while we were arranging the all day highlights of Buenos Aires tour. She accommodated all our requests and during the tour adjusted the itinerary to add some specific places we wished to visit. Mercedes is extremely friendly, very professional and most knowledgeable. She structured the day so that we got an extensive overview of Buenos Aires in the 6 hr tour. She gave us advice on other places we could visit on our own and excellent restaurant recommendations. She even didn’t mind me messaging her during the evening when I wanted advice on restaurants in a specific district. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Mercedes and highly recommend her as a very organised and professional guide.

Some of the highlights that can be done in this tour (depending your pace and preferences ) are: - Plaza de Mayo (political center of the country) - Government House (known as Pink House, from outside) - BA Metropolitan Cathedral (guided visit inside) - La Boca - Caminito (the old port where tango was born) - San Telmo (old area famous for its antique stores - and flea market Sundays - - Puerto Madero (the newest district dedicate to the women) - 9 de Julio Av. (the widest avenue of the world) - Obelisk & Opera House (both from outside) - Recoleta Cemetery (guided visit including Evita's grave and an introduction to her life) - Palermo Gardens - In our circuit there are museums like Evita's museum, Malba, Fine Arts, Colon Theatre (Opera House) etc. if you are interested in visiting any of them, I can customize a circuit, fitting them (admission tickets are not included in the price of the tour).
