Hi I'm Susan, I am a leading authority on Southern architecture and design. A graduate of Yale University with a degree in architectural history, I am the author and photographer of many books published by Rizzoli International Publications and other publishers, including my most recent volume, The Allure of Charleston. During the last twenty-five years, I have written three books about Charleston as well as titles featuring other historic Southern locations. I have lectured at organizations including Sotheby's and the Smithsonian and my books have been reviewed and excerpted in publications including Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Town & Country, House Beautiful, Veranda, and World of Interiors. My articles have also appeared in The New York Times, Veranda, House Beautiful, Town & Country Travel, Art and Antiques, Southern Accents, Coastal Living, and other periodicals.
