Hello and welcome to South Korea! I joined ToursByLocals in 2024 and was honored with a 2026 Golden Guide Award for my DMZ tours delivering the most well-structured and immersive experiences during a single day. This is a highly selective distinction, as only about 25 winners are chosen from a global network of over 5,000 guides across 170 countries. Before becoming a tour guide, I traveled extensively around the world and within Korea. Prior to this, I spent 15 years working for multinational corporations. I also received my MS degree from a renowned university in the United States. I love not only traveling, but hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, and photography. If you are looking for a friendly guide with fluent English and also with internationally accepted manners, you have found the right person. If you are also looking for someone who can cover a wide range of topics such as Korean history & culture, North Korean relations, military issues, the economy, and education, Bingo! My mission is to make the tours fun and memorable. That is why I always study different places, Korean history, and culture. It is fun for me to do so. I will prepare every tour schedule carefully by considering different variables and I will discuss it with the clients. Also, for your convenience, my tours can be done with a brand-new 11-seater Van with 4WD and dual sunroofs. Unsuk was a mindful guide and never ceased to ensure that we were comfortable with the extreme heat of the day. He also allowed us to change the itinerary by bringing us to a place of great interest to us, the Seosomun Shrine History Museum...it was the best way to end the tour. Thank you so much Unsuk.

Unsuk (Oliver) is a friendly and knowledgeable guide who was very accommodating to our multigenerational group. He showed us all of the best parts of Seoul. Our favorite stops were actually places we didn’t originally have on our list. I highly recommend him for a personalized and comfortable tour of Seoul.
