Hi, it’s Lee - formerly a big firm analyst, and now a happy tour guide! 😊 I was born and raised in Seoul and have lived in five different countries: Canada, the US, Australia, Russia, and Germany. I also traveled to over 40 countries. I studied Business in Seoul, including a year-long exchange program in the US, and completed my MBA in Sydney. After finishing my MBA, I wanted to pursue a career change to become a professor, leveraging my field experience. I worked as a market researcher, research analyst, and marketer at major companies. It was a highly paid, stable job - what many would call a good life. But I’ve always preferred being in nature over an office. I hiked Kilimanjaro solo, Annapurna Base Camp solo, Olympus solo, Everest Base Camp, Fuji, the Alps solo, Patagonia, and many other mountains worldwide. (By “solo,” I mean literally alone or with a hiking guide, as some countries require one.) I've also led a hiking club for over five years and usually travel overseas more than five times a year to hike mountains. Here are some of my highlights 2017. 08 Japan, Fuji 2 days (3,776m) 2017. 10 Nepal, Annapurna Base Camp 6 days (4,130m) 2018. 09 Tanzania, Kilimanjaro Stella Point 6 days (5,656m) 2019. 09 Nepal, Kala Patthar (5,644m) / Everest Base Camp 9 days (5,364m) 2022. 08 Switzerland, Alps Vues du Mont Blanc 4 days (2,970m) 2022. 09 Greece, Olympus 2 days (2,918m) 2023. 07 Mongolia, Altai Tavan Nogd Base Camp 7 days (3,100m) 2025. 02 Chile, Patagonia W Trek 4 days 2025. 12 Indonesia, Mt.Aguna 2 days (3,142m) 2026. 07 Spain-Portugal The Camino de Santiago 11days (260km) A few years ago, I started my own travel agency, operating nature and city tours. (Registered agency for foreign visitors in Korea and vice versa). Most of my tours focus on food and hiking. Now I can hike more often, enjoy great food with travelers full of laughter, and practice calligraphy every day, which I also love. I’m definitely happier now. 💕☺️ If you visit Korea, please contact me! Just as I enjoy my hometown, Seoul, I truly want others to experience its culture and nature as well. Thank you for reading. Hope to see you in Korea! 😊 Cheers, Lee [ International experience ] Born and raised in Seoul / Lived in 5 different countries (USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, Germany) / Traveled mostly solo over 40 countries [ Tourism ] . Overview of your Seoul tour

Spend your day exploring the best of Southern Seoul with history and modern culture! Start with Seonjeongneung royal tomb from the Joseon dynasty, UNESCO heritage. Later we also visit Bongeunsa Buddhist temple which is to protect the tomb. You'll be surprised to see the beautiful places are situated in the middle of the busy metropolis. You can try the temple food in the restaurant if they are opened. Walk to Starfield mall for Byulmadang library and 'Gangnam style' K-pop statue. Move to a traditional market where you can try popular street food. Their twisted doughnuts are the best in Seoul! Many plastic surgeons are in the area too. After Starfield Mall, you can choose one of two options: Lotte World Tower – One of Seoul’s most iconic modern landmarks. You can enjoy the impressive architecture and explore the surrounding area. Seongsu-dong – One of Seoul’s trendiest neighborhoods, known for its unique cafes, shops, pop-up stores, and creative atmosphere.

My wife and I have had many guides through ToursByLocals and Viator over the years. Lee is an elite guide. She was wonderful throughout and tailored two days to exactly what was needed. The first day, she did the broad tour of Seoul--with lots of information about history, geography, the Josean Empire, Hanboks, politics, culture, economics, shopping, arts, parks, religion and city avant garde "hot spots." We like to follow an initial broad tour like this with recommendations for intensive follow-up adventures on our own--art and history museums, parks and gardens, winding back streets, etc. She provided a complete list of these solo excursions. Then, a week later, she tailored a follow-up tour with a deeper dive into less obvious Seoul highlights. (Because of time spent driving around Korea and to Busan in between, she also texted some driving tips that were incredibly helpful.) As you can discern from this review, Lee was just terrific. She has lived in the U.S. and Canada and thus has a complete grasp of both Korean and English, and she was incredibly prepared and flexible as to what was needed. She is also a world traveler herself (with a recent hike on the Camino Reale and past adventures on Mount Kilimanjaro and in the Himalayas). She is so bright and world-aware, and there was a wonderful and funny dynamism in our interactions in being able to talk about sibling position, pharmacodynamics, and in being able to look up (on our phones) diverse information from Korean Rom-Coms, K-Pop Music, and investigating the global sculptures of Spanish artist Jauma Plensa (who has a piece by the Lotte Tower), and marvel at the range of work by famed architect Zaha Hadid (who did the amazing Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). The true test of a tour like this is the lingering aftereffect: I am left with a deep respect and fondness for the city of Seoul and the nation of Korea (and the great tour by Lee that produced many fond memories and laughs and about a thousand photographs).

This was our second tour of the day with Lee. We had an absolutely wonderful time with her. She was very kind and considerate and made sure that everyone in our group had a great time. She even brought a game that she played with my kids during a break in the tour. She also gave the same game as a gift to the kids, and we are still enjoying playing it as a family together. She explained everything we were seeing without going into excessive details which made the whole tour and what we are experiencing more enjoyable. She very graciously took pictures of us whenever we asked her to. She is very knowledgeable about the city. We would definitely recommend her for anybody interested in a tour in Seoul.

We had an amazing 5-hour sightseeing tour with Lee C.! His warm personality, excellent English skills, and deep knowledge of Korean history and culture made the experience unforgettable. From the peaceful Seonjeongneung tomb to the vibrant Garosugil, every stop was both fun and insightful. Lee added great stories, humor, and energy throughout the tour—highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore Seoul with a fantastic guide!

We had a wonderful visit of south Seoul in the company of Lee. Her visits are particularly memorable because she takes her time to make sure that we understand what we’re seeing, always in a calm and unhurried manner. We’re never rushing from point to point trying to cram in as much as possible. Our varied itinerary took us from royal tombs to a shopping mall to an enormous library to a Buddhist temple to a Gangnam style statue, all topped off with a delicious Korean lunch in a temple basement. A relaxing and informative day for all. Thank you, Lee!
