Seoul: A Journey Through History - Full Day

I’m a mum travelling with my two daughters (age 12 and 15) and we booked a full-day tour with Sally at the beginning of our stay in Seoul. We are so glad we did. Sally showed us both old and new Seoul, and she was very good at picking up on our interests along the way. We covered a lot, had great conversations and really enjoyed spending the day with her. Most importantly, Sally gave us a great introduction to the city that we have used throughout the rest of our stay. One of the first things she did was help us get T-money cards and show us how to use them. Small practical things that really unlocked the city for us. Sally is warm, friendly and very easy to spend time with. We would definitely recommend her guided tour - and will do it again if we ever come to Seoul again 👌🏻

We had a wonderful time touring Seoul with Sally on “A Journey Through History – Seoul’s Historical Sites.” From the moment she picked us up at our hotel, Sally was warm, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful. We visited Jogyesa Temple, Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Royal Guards Changing Ceremony, the National Folk Museum, Bukchon Hanok Village, Insadong Culture Art Valley, Gwangjang Market, and Myeongdong Shopping Street. Sally brought each place to life with fascinating insights into Korean history, Buddhist traditions, and everyday customs. We especially appreciated her thoughtful guidance at the palace—thanks to her, we had a perfect spot in the shade for the ceremony! The tour was a wonderful mix of history, culture, local life, and delicious Korean food at Gwangjang Market. Sally also shared great ideas for the rest of our stay and kindly sent us a list of places open during Chuseok, which was incredibly helpful. It was an amazing day with so many memorable highlights. We are very grateful to Sally for sharing her knowledge, time, and love of Seoul with us. We would happily tour with her again and highly recommend her!

Sally took us around Seoul for 3 days. She’s knowledgeable about the history of the city. Definitely tell her what you like and she will come up with things not necessarily in the guide books. I like art and gardens. She added an art cafe for lunch and a stroll through the Olympic sculpture garden. She definitely wants to please you. I also recommend hiring a taxi all day to get around. You will cover much more ground and it’s not that expensive.

Before I write anything I am rthanking sally for taking me to the hospital to be treated for a big vertigo issue, which they did. We were able to do some exploring of the city like the pace where BTS was going to perform two days latter, that was nice. The Hanok Villaje I did not like it at all, did not do anything for me. I Lao got to see the Blue house but from very far away and the area really is nothing to speak about.
