Guide #11900
I am as old-fashioned as one can be, a historian, born and raised in Vilnius, doing my best to provide the highest quality tour guide service since 2013. In my opinion, the most important thing while leading a tour is to avoid repeating cliche official information that can be found in every guidebook and tell the good, the bad and the funny things about life in my city instead. Despite my best efforts, the city awarded me the title of "The most hospitable tour guide of 2015". I found that people are more interested in learning who and why threw a nice fellow from a church roof than the standard recital of how good-natured, good-looking and smart the citizens of my city are. Be it the miraculous baroque of St Peter and Paul church, the streets of the Jewish ghetto or stories of life under communism, I will always go to the utmost to satisfy your curiosity. Some of those who have enjoyed my tours include members of the Aerosmith band, Game of Thrones actors, National Geographic and Deutsche Welle TV reporters, presidents of foreign countries, and major company CEOs. Young or elderly (better be elderly because I agree that grass used to be greener), I treat everyone with the same respect and attention. Do not be shy to bring kids, there is no better education than travelling (except for books and our own mistakes, of course). If you have a particular interest in the art scene, I know most of the famous local painters, and we can visit their workshops. I also specialise in military history. If you have a family member or are travelling with a friend who has a disability, please do not be shy to contact me; I will be more than happy to arrange a discount for them. BA in History, Vilnius University 2001 Lithuanian tour guide license issued in 2013 Vilnius Hospitality Awards winner 2015 I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle, or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Kristupas is a wonderful guide, full of interesting stories that make history come alive. He is a true historian and loves to share his knowledge of Vilnius history and its characters with his clients. He took me to places I would never have found on my own, such as the modern frescoes in a small room at the university. I highly recommend this tour with Kristupas, both...

Thank you very much John, it was a pleasure.
K is extremely knowledgable and passionate. He is an empathetic communicator. I felt like I was in a private graduate seminar. The great bonus.. he has an objective point of view.

Thank you very much, Steven. I hope that we will have another chance to meet in Vilnius.
Excellent guide, distinguished gentleman of great knowledge, dry wit, and informed opinions. Highly recommend for a more intellectually-informed tour, if you have a lot of cultural questions.
