We spent two days with Ichi in Kyoto and Osaka, while stopped at Osake on a Celebrity Cruise on the Millenium. We saw so much and had a great time with him. His English is excellent and his love for his country was evident. He even taught us some Japanese while on the train. I can't recommend him enough. We feel like we have a friend in Osaka!

Hello Angela and Ed, Thank you very much for your comments. I’m glad to know your daughter liked the Daikin T-shirt. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise trip in Japan and Korea. (I am sorry I couldn’t reply for a long time as my account was put on hold by toursbylocals.) best regards, Ichi

We had the BEST time with Toichi—aka “Ichi-san” (our nickname for him 😊). From day one, he came in fully prepared with maps and a binder full of illustrations, super knowledgeable, and just easy to vibe with. He didn’t give us a cookie-cutter tour—he really paid attention to what we liked and tailored everything to fit us, which made the whole experience feel personal...

We had a wonderful day with Ichi-san. He knows his city well and took us to many different locations using public transportation - quickly and easily. He explained the history of Japan in a simple way and the importance of the city of Osaka. He taught us how to say numbers in Japanese and had us create an origami crane (and didn’t laugh at my clumsiness). He was...

Hello Bob-san, Thanks very much for your favorable review. I’m glad to know that you and your kind wife enjoyed the day with me in Osaka. Hope you were able to leave the paper cranes at the Children’s Monument in Hiroshima’s Peace Park. By the way, you were not clumsy at all. Enjoy the rest of your trip in South Korea and in China, and have a wonderful life!
