Since then, I’ve built a life here with my family, raising children near Peace Memorial Park and once living with a Hibakusha. These experiences give me a personal bond with Hiroshima’s story of peace and recovery. As a former educator and a student of Tea Ceremony and Ikebana, I bring a perspective that blends culture, history, and daily life. Guiding has become a natural extension of my life here, and I enjoy helping travelers experience Hiroshima and Miyajima in a way that is meaningful, authentic, and unforgettable.

Our tour around Etajima island was a blast. We had Alex as our tour guide. He knew the island very well and told us lots of bits of Information about it. He gave us a couple of options for lunch and we went with the Okonomiyaki. It was delicious! A great stop at a nice little local shop. The bikes were fantastic.
