I was born, raised, and educated in Buenos Aires. Regarding my Jewish education, I attended the elementary school Bet-El, which belongs to the congregation of the same name, founded by Rabbi Marshall Meyer, who also created the Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano, where I continued my Judaic studies at the Solomon Shechter Institute. After studying at the University of Tel Aviv for a year, I came back to Argentina where I graduated as a Psychologist from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). After years of working in the Human Resources department of several multinational companies, I felt the need to do something that fully represented who I am: a person deeply in love with Argentina and passionate about my Judaism. My great-grandparents arrived from Syria over one hundred years ago. My family history and my passion for showing that which I love, let me work as a tour guide in Buenos Aires. On a personal note, I would like to thank my beloved parents for providing me with the finest education; my teachers that taught me to think for myself regardless of the circumstances, which was not an easy task considering that I grew up during a dictatorship. Furthermore, I want to thank my clients, who challenge me every day, allowing me to discover that there is always something new to learn and show. I am a certified tour guide by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. Psychologist (University of Buenos Aires). I have no restrictions.

Tour was very interesting and Valeria was very knowledgable about the Jewish history in Buenos Aires. However, we did not visit the subway station as mentioned in the tour description and the tour itself was only 3 hours, not 4 hours as indicated in the description.

Hi Howard, thank you for your review and feedback. The reason why the tour was shorter than the time published is because you took it on a weekend. On weekends the traffic in Buenos Aires is lighter, therefore travelers spend less time on the car. On weekdays some times takes longer than 4 hours. It depends on the traffic. Best regards to you and Beth, Valeria

An outstanding tour and tour guide! Valeria has lived in Buenas Aires her entire life and has a deep understanding of the Jewish experience in Argentina. Not only did we visit historically significant neighborhoods, we also went to important sites, such as the oldest synagogue in Argentina. In each instance, Valeria’s expertise enhanced our understanding of the Jewish...

For anyone interested in the Jewish community of Buenos Aires, Valeria is the perfect guide for both the general history of Argentina as well as how Jews have helped to shape its culture and history.

Valeria is an excellent knowledgeable, enthusiastic and upbeat guide. She took care of everything so there was nothing for us to plan. Valeria and the driver picked us up from our hotel and the adventure began. Our tour was well planned at a comfortable pace , it was incredibly interesting and enjoyable. We were interested in seeing Sephardic as well as Ashkenazi...
