** I'M FULLY VACCINATED** Welcome to the Buenos Aires, the city of the Tango!. My name is Mirta. I'm 100% "Porteña"!. I was born and grew up in Buenos Aires and I love my city and its people!. For 30 years I have been working as a teacher in an elementary school, I'm retired now, but I still keep working as a Tour Guide. I'm a quiet person and I like to organize relaxed tours, no rushed, taking our time in each stop, enjoying the day. I love Tango Music, I'm a tango dancer and tango teacher, I go to dance twice a week. I love the history of this of this city, called "The Paris of South America", cradle of writers, musician, soccer players and artists. Buenos Aires is surrounded by a "halo" of mystery. I would like to take you to lead you in Buenos Aires, taking you to explore every single corner, telling you every single story and admiring every single iconic place. I like to provide you a complete introduction to our history, but I also like to share with you my favorite places (not necessary touristic places), to test "empanadas" in my favorite restaurant, to see street art and to listen local music…in other words, to share with you a day immersed in our culture. After a tour you will understand better the "idiosyncrasy" of the argentines. - National Tour Guide - English teacher - Elementary teacher I am not a driver. I arrange for a private car and driver.

Tigre City is located 21 miles from Downtown Buenos Aires. It is the gateway to Tigre Delta. It is a place formed by thousands of islands inhabited by a curious community. After picking you up, we will drive north, visiting the elegant district of San Isidro where the ancient mansions once belonged to the wealthy families as summer houses during the XVIII Century. A glimpse of the neo-gothic cathedral is a "must do". Once we arrive in Tigre City, known as "the cradle of the rowing", we will visit the city and the "Puerto de Frutos", a market opened 60 years ago by the "islanders", a place where you can find local handy crafts. Later we get board a private boat sailing by different channels, enjoying nature and the local culture. There is no way to get the islands by car, because there is no bridges or highways and everything must be taken by boat. However, you will see supermarket boat, taxi boats, ice cream boats, and many oddities!!!

Thank you Mirta for an enjoyable, relaxing day exploring the Tigre Delta. Days disembarking from a cruise ship are usually ones you don't remember but this one we will. We apprecaited your patience waiting for us to get off the ship. We found the boat rides through the delta canals and waterways relaxing and surprising peacefull. Sitting outside for lunch along side the waterway at Gato Blanco was enjoyable. Thank you for a great day.
Tour of the Tigre City is fascinating. Lunch at a very nice restaurant. The "city" is dynamic with changes on-going and Mirta understands the history and the current events.
This was our final tour (out of 3 tours) with Mirta. Walter drove us carefully, safely and efficiently during the day, and Mirta was her usual bubbly and informative self. It felt almost as if we were friends sharing an experience. All tours with Mirta gave us really interesting information in a completely unhurried way.
She was exceptional explaining all details about the tour She went above and beyond keep us engaged throughout the tour Extremely friendly flexible and welcoming She is highly recommended Thank you
We were on a cruise and had already done the standard, Buenos Aires city tour. Before our late flight out after the cruise, Mirta took us on a tour North and to the Tigre River Delta, where we boarded a small boat for an intimate experience. The whole time was very enjoyable, very educational and very well spent. We saw beautiful green and historic areas much nicer than the downtown city. She had a driver and gave us her full attention, and the driver always made us feel safe and ended the day by taking us to the airport. Highly recommend.
