I like to cook, eat, travel and so my tours have often a gastronomic nuance because I believe that there is no better way to understand a culture, especially in southern Italy.
ABOUT BARI TOURS:
After spending the last 7 years guiding groups around my city, I am sure that you will enjoy my tours through the narrow streets. You will try to speak, eat and act like a local, don't forgetting the artistic aspect of the ancient city.
During our walking tour, it will be easy to meet children playing ball in the street while their mothers produce handmade fresh pasta in the most hidden corners of the old town, or have the pleasure to chat with the fishermen repairing their nets at the fish market;
My passion for my land stems from my love for the people that live here and, I assure you, you'll love it too
ABOUT APULIA TOURS:
My region is beautiful for the diversity of landscapes and experiences that you will have the chance to appreciate: crystal clear beaches, authentic villages, ancient olive trees, vineyards, castles and UNESCO sites will take you to discover amazing people that can make you fall in love with Puglia, the heel of the boot.
I will guide you to the most important places of interest such as Polignano a Mare (Volareee, oh - oh), Monopoli, Alberobello (the village of Trulli), Castel del Monte, Matera (the city of the "Sassi"), Castellana Grotte (caves subterranean), Ostuni (the white city) and you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the authenticity of these unique places and typically Mediterranean.
SASSI represent an extraordinary urban ecosystem capable of perpetuating the farthest prehistoric past ways of living in caves up to modernity.
Known as "la Città Sotterranea" (the Subterranean City), Matera is well known for being one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. On October 17, 2014, Matera was declared Italian host of European Capital of Culture for 2019
A Recent Review of this guide
We had the best time during this tour! Giorgio gave us the full experience by being flexible with what we were interested in and brought us to local areas that were less touristy. We had the opportunity to try food products and had a great stop for lunch. Not only did he tell us a lot of information and history about the area, but he engaged us with the locals by talking to them, trying their food and learning how the locals lived. I recommend this tour to everyone!
