Giorgio I.
Ciao, I'm Giorgio from Bari. I am 36 years old and I am a tour guide since 2010; I am a great lover...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Giorgio I. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
Because of the rich Baroque architectural monuments found in the city, Lecce is commonly nicknamed "The Florence of the South". Lecce has a long traditional affinity with Greek culture going back to its foundation; the Messapii who founded the city are said to have been Cretans in Greek records. To this day, in the Grecìa Salentina, a group of towns not far from Lecce, the griko language is still spoken. During my tours, I like to mix food, history, art and local customs without acting like a teacher. I will take you to some place where you will taste the local flavors of the Salento area.
- Obelisco; - Porta Napoli - San Nicola dei Greci; - Basilica di Santa Croce and Celestini Palace (outside); - Piazza S. Oronzo; - Sedile e San Marco dei Veneziani; - Anfiteatro Romano; - Piazzetta Vittorio Emanuele II e Santa Chiara Church (outside); - Duomo (outside); - Palazzo Marrese; - Visit of a Paper Mache atelier; - food tasting during the tour: caffè Leccese, Pasticciotto, Rustico I can create a customized tour for you in case you have special requests.
