Looking for a walking tour in the Russian Hill neighborhood? Let's explore some stairways and alleys of this neighborhood of creatives along with many architectural details and stories that makes Russian Hill so special. Along the way we will be treated to incredible views of the City and the Bay. Life is best at the top! I have lived in Russian Hill for close to 40 years and never tire of its incredible beauty. In our talkative meander, we'll go down Macondray Lane, take a look at the famous 999 Green Street and talk about some of their more well known residents. We'll stroll down the Russian Hill alleys and narrow pathways, walk up and down stairs and by ways. We may wander into Nob Hill, North Beach and Telegraph Hill. Add to the spectacular locations, some hidden stairways, secret paths, cable cars, and incredible bay views. Because of our up and down hills, you need to be reasonably fit to do the walk. Kids and pets are welcome!
Meeting point: the mailbox on the North East corner of Pacific and Hyde, close to the grocery store (this is on the Hyde Street cable car line, you may want to catch a cable car to meet me here). You can decide on the start time. Tour time: 2 hours Main attractions: - The spectacular Russian Hill with hidden stairways, secret paths, cable cars, and incredible bay views! - check - Macondray Lane, the famous 999 Green Street - check - Possibly Nob Hill, North Beach, Telegraph Hill - including any special requests you may have. Transportation: This is a walking tour. Due to the steep up and down hills, you need to be reasonably fit. Covid precautions : Sanitary measures will be followed throughout the tour. We will make sure to have hand sanitizer, wipes and masks, plus any other precaution we can think of. EVERYTHING in the tour can be customized to your liking!
