Welcome to beautiful San Francisco, the shining emerald city by the bay. As someone who leads Bay Area walks in a plethora of habitats, I love sharing the very best experiences with guests. I'm a Certified Master Interpreter with the National Park Service, and former Federal Ranger/Biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, with decades of experience as a Volunteer and Education Coordinator; my training, enthusiasm, and unique wildlife and historical experience sets me apart. Overview of your San Francisco tour
Walk among the giants. Some of the trees we will see are 500 feet tall and over 1000 years old. Join a former park ranger who will guide you through this lush forest. I performed Giant Salamander surveys for the government, and can show you fun insights others miss. I love every moment in this incredible habitat, and I think you will too. Did you hear that bird? I can tell you what it is by its call, and why it's calling. Is it okay to smell this plant? I can tell you if it's aromatic sage or itchy poison oak. Open up your world to the other 8.7 million species we share our planet with.
Your San Francisco tour itinerary

This could be the entrance to the park, one of the other trailheads, or if you'd like me to drive your rental car, I can meet you at your hotel. -- At Muir Woods, we will enjoy a quiet stroll on the trails and paths. -- We end in the park, if you wish to explore Marin further on your own. Or, I can return you to your hotel, or any previously agreed upon location, depending on your desires. -- These tours do not include a stop for a meal, so you should bring easy snacks and water or a drink. However, if you would like to factor in a meal, please add that in with your other details of interest.
