Originally from the east coast, but have been a San Francisco local since 2000. I am the owner of a walking tour company, and over the past fourteen years, I have given over 3000 tours to guests from all over the world. I offer six different tours of the neighborhoods of San Francisco. . . The Castro, Mission district, Telegraph Hill, Eureka Valley, Cow Hollow, Pacific Heights, Chinatown, North Beach, Russian Hill and Golden Gate Park. All of the tours are approximately four miles each, cover various neighborhoods, and have at least one hill and one stairway on them. I take people to hidden stairways and gardens, amazing vistas, and famous landmarks. Along the way, I use my iPad to show relevant historical photos that are arranged in order of the stops on the tour. The tours were all designed as loops, with the start and finish a landmark spot, so guests do not get lost when the tour is finished. It has long been a dream of mine to own a business like I have, and I am extremely knowledgable and passionate about everything that is San Francisco. 7 year member of the San Francisco Museum and Historical Society 3 year member of San Francisco Tour Guide Guild Business is licensed with the City of San Francisco Studied with Improv Olympic in Los Angeles Fully insured Bachelor of Arts from University of Massachusetts at Amherst

This four mile loop weaves through the oldest Chinatown in the U. S. , climbs from the Cable Car Museum to the peak of Russian Hill, and cruises along the Italian enclave of North Beach to the Mecca of Beatnik culture. Beginning at the Friendship Gate, we'll travel through the colorful alleys of Chinatown, browse its exotic markets, pop over to the legendary Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory & visit the first Chinese temple in America, the Tin How Temple. At the Powerhouse we'll see what makes the cable cars tick, then ascend Russian Hill, winding through the whimsical, verdant Macondray Lane--one of the City's most beautiful hidden streets & the basis for Barbary Lane in Armistead Maupin's colorful fiction series Tales of the City. Coast through North Beach and enjoy the traditional trattoria patios, old-school bars, and handmade cuisine that bring the historic Italian charm to life. We'll check out City Lights Bookstore, Vesuvio Cafe, and other Beatnik landmarks before ending our loop back at the gate.
