I've lived and worked in San Francisco since 1975, and am quite fond of—and, perhaps, slightly jaundiced toward—my long-adopted home, a. k. a. "The City". I have been numbered as a local student/practitioner of fine, commercial and industrial arts: commercial graphics, multi-media design, and as a craftsman in our once-mighty commercial printing industry. I'm occasionally zealous in defense/restoration of natural habitats, parks, regional agriculture, and historic architecture. Special appreciation must go to food—glorious food! Cosmopolitanism has its benefits; San Francisco is a foodie's paradise. The ride never ends. Truly I am a tourist in my own life here in "The City", "Baghdad by the Bay", "The Queen of the Pacific", "Fog City", or (more poetically) "the cool, grey city of love". San Francisco has famously passed through extreme events and harbored very unusual people. 'The City' remains world famous for its colorful history and inhabitants. The classic "City Tour" extends from the Waterfront to the Pacific Ocean and back, including many historic places and fabulously beautiful vistas. Many of these are inaccessible to coaches (e. g. "tour buses"), but have easy and legal access by cars, including limousines. Classic "half day" city tours typically range from 3-1/2 to 5 hours. The price of this tour includes a limousine and professional driver. This allows us to stop at many locations without time-consuming problems of parking (or even *finding* parking!). Inquire about options to drive yourself in your own vehicle if you prefer. San Francisco many steep hills thoughout with coastlines on three sides. Combined with our colorful, historic neighborhoods, we have a city simply drenched in beautiful vista after beautiful vista.
Start: Pickup at a convenient downtown location or Ferry Building. We'll choose from these classic sites: 1- Waterfront: Ferry Building, 2- Barbary Coast (oldest surviving neighborhood), 3- Vistas of Telegraph Hill and Russian Hill (incl. "crookedest street") 4- North Beach (traditional Italian district), 5- Original Chinatown, 5- Downtown and Civic Center: Architectural glories, 6- Nob Hill with Cable Cars 7- Fisherman's Wharf District (Pier 39 / Ghirardelli Square) 8- Vistas and beauty of Pacific Heights / Marina Districts 9- The Presidio and Golden Gate Bridge 10- Sea Cliff, Lincoln Park and the Legion of Honor 11- The Richmond: "Little Russia" and "Chinatown 2", 12- Land's End, Cliff House, Ocean Beach, 13- Golden Gate Park: nature, museums 14- Haight-Ashbury / "Painted Ladies", 15- Twin Peaks, 16- Castro District > Included less often > 17- Mission District, 18- Waterfront and Natural Area Trails Please contact me with any questions or to customize this tour

I guide—and a professional driver drives. It all happens via a TCP licensed limousine (sedan or SUV) provided by a reputable service. Unlike coaches (a.k.a. 'buses') this allows unrestricted access to all public roadways. Our dedicated driver does the fussing over parking, etc. Further, it frees me to devote myself completely to your adventure.
