Ciao! I'm Laura, a Sicilian jazz vocalist & songwriter turned New Yorker tour guide. I'm a total extrovert, I love meeting people and sharing not only the Highlights of this magical city but also my personal experiences as an immigrant to the Big Apple. About me: I'm an award-winning songwriter and jazz singer born and raised in Sicily, Italy. I landed in New York City in 2010 and fell in love with its rough and electric vibe. I moved to the Big Apple to work as a performer, and to make ends meet I've also held jobs as a private teacher, baby sitter, waitress, translator, personal assistant at the university level, and columnist, until in 2018 I started working as a tour guide. That was a game changer for me, for in tourism I found a great new love! I am a licensed NYC sightseeing tour guide and have been working regularly since 2018 with a variety of companies from the US & around the world. Italian is my first language but I'm also fluent in English and Spanish. My love for languages, history and art, mixed with my 20+ years of professional experience on stage and my outgoing, friendly personality make me a warm and fun tour guide who can connect with people from all walks of live to provide an AUTHENTIC and UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. I am a proud Sicilian, wife to my wonderful husband and best friend Joe, a dog and cat mom with a deep love for pets and animals in general. I am a foodie and a bit of a goofball.
