Overlooked & Forgotten in the Bronx

Join me for a walking tour thru Kingsbridge/Riverdale sections of the Bronx where I grew up. My old stomping ground and Manhattan College's neighborhood. We will check out a 110 year old bar, an Irish Football field, dessert stops - Carrot Cake and a cheesecake shop owned by a Holocaust survivor. We will talk about the diverse make up of the area and how it's attracted younger residents. We will stop by Van Cortlandt Park the 3rd largest park in NYC, bigger than Central Park. Van Cortlandt's golf course, the country's 1st & oldest public golf course and how the Rolling Stones landed in a Blimp to launch their 2002 tour. And of course killer pizza, knishes and rugelach will be available for noshing if you like. Add on a visit to Wavehill, a hidden gem that offers swiping views of the Hudson and Palisades Cliffs before or after walking thru the neighborhood.
