I'm a native New Yorker and I have a great love and knowledge of New York City from Broadway and all the major tourist attractions to Brooklyn and much lesser-known but no less interesting sites. I'm also a lower limb amputee and have access to wheelchair accessible vehicles and know how to navigate NYC's mass transit system with a wheelchair. I'll show you sites and tell you stories illustrating New York's rich history and the part it played in the American War of Independence as well as share my intimate knowledge of the film and television industry in New York and sites where TV shows and movies are filmed. I really enjoy showing people around my great city, like a friend or relative in New York. You're here to have a great time and that's what I'm going to give you!
Mathew is a humorous and amazingly knowledgeable guide in New York. We had been to NY many times before both on business and pleasure but Matthew still managed to show us many things that we had not seen before. The visit to 9/11 Ground Zero Memorial was extremely memorable and enhanced by Matthew's huge knowledge and his genuine empathy, which he also managed to impart to us. Thank you Matthew for an outstanding and most enjoyable Sunday morning in New York City.
Highly recommend! I met my sisters in New York. We loved being driven around and shown all the highlights. Our favorites were cannolis in Little Italy and learning about the survivor tree at the 911 Memorial.
Matthew was a blast to spend 3 days with. He really knows the city and treated our family so well. I highly recommend touring The Big Apple with Matthew!!
Only complaint is that we spent such a long time at Grand Central Terminal that we had to cut short some aspects of our trip, such as spending a bit more time at Ground Zero, etc. But, overall, it was a good tour and Matthew was a very knowledgeable and personable guide. I could certainly recommend it to anyone.
Matthew picked us up at the JFK, took us on a very informative tour of NYC and dropped us at LaGuardia Airport where we were catching a flight the next day. Matthew is extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history and my wife and I both learned a lot about all the sites we visited and saw. Only downside was it was a bit pricey for the amount of time we spent touring the city and the traffic was pretty hard to get through. Overall I'm glad we did the tour, but we were ending 3 weeks of Europe.
This was our second day of touring with Matthew, and he arranged for a car and driver. This really is the best way to see lots of the city and quickly. We made quite a few stops and got out and walked around while Mathew explained the highlights of the area, then popped back in the car for another location. Matthew is very well informed about New York, its history and surrounding areas. We can't wait to do this again.
We will see all the major sights of New York City from the comfort of a comfortable, well appointed wheelchair accessible van. Of course we'll step out of the vehicle in numerous spots to get a more in depth view. Some of the sights we'll see and places we'll visit include: - Central Park - Times Square & the Theater District - Grand Central Terminal & the Chrysler Building - The Empire State Building - The Flatiron Building - Greenwich Village - Soho, Little Italy & Chinatown - NYC's Municipal & Financial Districts - We'll see Wall Street & its famous Bull - We'll stop at the southern tip of Manhattan Island to view the Statue of Liberty - Then we'll pay our respects at the 9/11 Memorial. ** Disclaimer** If I must travel to you anywhere outside of Manhattan, Western Queens or North West Brooklyn, part of that travel time will count towards the stated tour time.
