In fact, NYC Is where the movie business started & most movie studio's corporate offices are still located here. Beyond all the movie and TV locations, NYC is rich in American history. The first battle in the US war for independence, after the declaration of independence was signed, occurred in Brooklyn in the summer of 1776. The Federal Hall Building on Wall St is where George Washington took the oath of office as the nation's first president, at the time New York City was the US Capitol. Alexander Hamilton is entombed a short block away from Federal Hall. In short, New York City is the World's Capital City. If you lived during the height of the Roman Empire, wouldn't you want to visit the city of Rome?
