I never fled the city for the suburbs. I stuck it out through the violence and drug epidemic of the last century. I watched the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center from my office window. I experienced the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis on New York City, and most recently, lived through COVID-19 in what was the epicenter of the epidemic in the Western world. I spent most of my professional life working in the field of human services in three boroughs of the city. I have also driven limousine, taxi and worked security (I am a state licensed security officer - you'll feel safe in New York with me). All of these experiences have contributed greatly to my experience- and knowledge-base of the city, certainly much more than simply studying for the 150 multiple-choice question test required for a Sightseeing Guide License. I have lived, gone to university and traveled extensively throughout Europe. My wife Valerie and I have just returned from our 29th trip abroad. Valerie is a career-long teacher, education administrator and university professor. She taught in the New York public school system, in Harlem, Brooklyn and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We have two children and four grandchildren. I love this city my family immigrated to from Italy, settling on 7th Street on the Lower East Side and I am a lover of all things New York. I love its history, architecture, institutions, as well as the same sights tourists come from around the world to see and experience. Equally, I love New York's great diversity of people, cultures, neighborhoods, food and the arts! I love our world famous special events, like the New York Marathon; US Open; New Year's Eve Celebration in Times Square; Thanksgiving Day Parade, etc. I also love the little details, particulars and peculiarities our everyday lives in New York. Consequently, I am more than excited to share with you all the things there are to see, hear, taste and love about this city. Please review my tour offerings. Overview of your New York City tour
Whatever the circumstances of your layover, ground excursion or "in between time" in New York, I will custom design a tour just for you! If you have an airport layover, I will come to the airport to get you. We will load you and your luggage (if necessary) into my mini-van and travel into Manhattan for our tour. At the end of the tour, I will bring you back to the airport in time for your flight out. If you have a cruise layover, I will come to the cruise terminal to meet you. Maybe, you have a layover between your inbound cruise and flight home. Maybe, your layover is between your arriving flight and departing cruise. Maybe, your New York layover is more of a day or evening stop on your cruise and you are looking for a personal and private New York ground excursion and experience by vehicle. I am totally flexible and anxious to serve you. Whether an airport or cruise layover; New York ground excursion or late hotel check in, I am prepared to help you make the best use of your limited time in New York.

Ronald picked us up at the cruise terminal in Manhattan. I had his cell so was able to effectively communicate our location. Worked perfectly. We (my sister and me- 2 seniors) had a 6 hour tour of Manhattan. Ronald was very informative. His knowledge of traffic patterns, parking and where to find restrooms was impressive. We had asked for a slice of good NY pizza and it was fantastic. We loved Grand Central and the 9/11 memorial grounds. He dropped us at JFK. I highly recommend his tours.

Ronald is an amazing tour guide. We were contacted often and new exactly where to meet him at the cruiseport and various times throughout the tour. For several hours, he made his way through the Christmas crowds and escorted us to so many sites. Ronald KNOWS New York and we enjoyed our time with him. We had a very strange day- arriving at Brooklyn cruise terminal and leaving same day from Manhattan cruise terminal. Ronald made the day special by giving us a comprehensive tour of Brooklyn and part of Manhattan which we would very much have struggled to do ourselves. I've been to NYC many times but this was the first time with kids (ages 9 and 12). Ronald was by far the best tour guide I've ever had the pleasure of hiring! Not only did he share his vast knowledge with the adults, he was able to do this in a way that made the kids interested in the history! Ronald knew places that we didn't know would be possible to visit! The walk thru Central Park was the best! If you ever have time in NYC before a flight - book with Ronald! He made our trip to NYC memorable!
