My parents sailed by the Statue of Liberty in 1948, seeking as millions before them, a new life filled with possibilities as they fled war ravaged Europe. Since I earned my NYC Tour Guide License in 2006, I have had the privilege to tell their story and that of New York City to countless visitors with real stories such as those my parents and family which includes persons making their living in fashion design, film making, church work, music, Real Estate and medicine. This helps give you an authentic sense of this City and region. This City holds a fascinating history and I will tell you the many stories of the City along with captivating facts and figures. My tours of the City comes alive as I share up close and personal life stories and those of the people; including myself working with firefighters as a their chaplain and at the World Trade Center with victim families and survivors. I have brought guests to almost every nook and cranny in The City in my capacity as a licensed and professional New York City Tour Guide, coordinating corporate groups, school groups, family visits, individual travelers and more. My credentials include: - New York City Tour Guide License. - Washington DC Tour Guide License. - Member of GANYC (Guide Association of New York City) - Post Secondary Degrees in History, Theology and Political Science. - Firefighter Chaplain. - Chauffeur's License. Come on a walk with me to experience the City up close and personal!!! I will show you the best of New York; taking you from Central Park all the way south to Battery Park for a view of the inspiring Statue of Liberty. Along the way, you will see Times Square, the Theater District, stroll down Fifth Avenue and pass name brand stores such as Tiffany's, Coach, Gucci amongst others. Then onto the Subway and a stop in Greenwich Village Village to walk in the footsteps of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Peter Paul and Mary, the Velvet Underground etc.. Then to the famous Financial District to see Wall Street, the World Trade Center, the 'Charging Bull', Statue of Liberty and much more. We greatly enjoyed this tour and Remo, our guide. The tour was insightful, thoughtful and illuminating as was our guide. It was well paced and Remo was flexible to our wishes. Great way to see all the major sites in Manhattan in a day.
I enjoyed my 6 hours tour with Remo. I came prepared with a list of sights which I wanted to see. Remo went above and beyond trying to cover all the sites on my list. We did! Plus he drove me over the Brooklyn Bridge to show the views of Manhattan and East River from Brooklyn Heights. That and the 9/11 memorial were the highlights of the tour. I highly recommend Remo.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Remo. We had originally booked a walking tour, but he was able to accommodate us with a van tour when the weather was not cooperative. Remo worked with us to ensure that not only did the 18-year olds on them trip get lots of instagram worthy photos but also the adults got to see what we wanted as well. Highly recommend Remo's tour!!
Our expectations of the tour with Remo were more than met. He guided us through the city with a lot of humor and we got a very good insight into life in New York. We had a great time and we highly recommend Remo.
Remo arrived as we stepped off our cruise ship and the tour began immediately. We stopped at Central Park for a brief walk and did the same at 5th Ave, World Trade Center Memorial, Chinatown, etc. Learned about current issues and politics in NYC. A great tour! Finished at the doors to our hotel. Recommended restaurants. Answered all our questions. Even treated us to a snack at Chinatown! Interesting stories re: NYC experiences he has had. Remo has some hearing issues, but he was able to accommodate us.
We saw so much and learned so much with Remo. Our family had a wonderful time on this tour!
