It takes a real New Yorker with a deep-rooted passion for the city to offer real New York tours. If anyone can show you the nooks and crannies of the NY streets and eats, yours truly! No one knows New York better! I am a licensed New York City tour guide as well as an authentic, native New Yorker. In college, I used to drive a New York City Checker Cab to help pay my college expenses, which helped me learn the ins and outs of every borough. During my lifetime in New York, I have experienced the evolutionary changes of the city’s diverse neighbourhoods. This, coupled with a keen interest in New York history, trains and subways, I believe makes me the ideal NY tour guide. Are you ready for the ultimate neighbourhood tour of NYC and to see the sights through the eyes of a quintessential New Yorker? My Bagel Tours are the real deal! I offer private and customized tours of New York City, each one starting with a bagel, fresh out of the oven. What could be better than beginning your NYC tours with the most iconic food of New York?

Get ready to take in the sights, mesmerizing aromas, and mouthwatering noshes of the Lower East Side as I expertly guide you through this historic neighbourhood where eating great food is a tradition. See it all and taste it all, starting with the deliciously fresh "everything bagel"! Since the early 1800’s, this area has been home to immigrants starting a new life in America who have made key cultural, economic, and epicurean contributions to New York City. Now, a new wave of immigrants, the hipsters, not from across the sea but from New York itself, are moving in and dramatically changing the “scene” of the Lower East Side. Get a feel of the old tenements and the new lifestyles. Experience it all from yesteryear’s Yonah Shimmel’s Knish Bakery, Katz’s Deli, and Russ and Daughters appetizing to the latest bar, restaurant, and hot-spot trends!
·We'll begin our tour at the famous Yonah Shimmels Knish Bakery where we'll then proceed along Houston ("Hoston, not Houston") Street to Russ and Daughters. ·Then it's on to Katz's Deli where we could go in and get a small taste of pastrami! ·From here, we'll circle around and proceed past Ludlow Street (Lady Gaga got her start here!) to Orchard Street which was once the ultimate shopping district on the Lower East Side. ·Then it's down to Rivington Street where we'll pass the remains of the First Romainian Synagoge. ·Afterwards, we'll head to Economy Candy, one of the true survivors of the historic Lower East Side. ·Next, we'll continue to the Essex Street Market. ·Later, we'll go back to Orchard Street where we'll have a review of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. ·Our final stops will be the Pickle Guy and Kossar's Bialys. This and a lot of other historical facts and sites will be part of this tour.
