Want to see the real New York City? On this full-day walking tour, we'll immerse ourselves in some lesser known, yet incredible NYC neighborhoods. In the morning, we will explore the stunning residential streets of Brooklyn Heights. Then we'll make our way through the fascinating former warehouse district of DUMBO. In the afternoon, after walking the Brooklyn Bridge, we'll venture up to the mysterious Roosevelt Island. We'll finish the adventure in style with a stroll through classic Central Park. I have lived in both Brooklyn Heights and Roosevelt Island, so will offer a true local's perspective during our visit to the neighborhoods. You will be both surprised and dazzled by the history, views, and experience of visiting these "Off the Beaten Path" gems. They are some of my favorite places in the whole city, and I love sharing them with guests! My tours are very family friendly. Bring on the kids!
On this tour, we will: - Learn about a historic decision Jackie Robinson made in the neighborhood. - Discover an invention made in the factories of DUMBO still used by almost every company in the world. - Hear the story of the true hero of the Brooklyn Bridge. (Trust me. She's amazing!) - Fly high over the East River on the Roosevelt Island Tramway. - See the crumbing ruins of one of New York's most frightening places. - Visit one of the most romantic places in all of New York at the Bethesda Terrace. - The tour will end in the middle of Central Park. I will direct you to nearby subways to help you get to your next destination. Guests will have time for photos throughout. We will stop for lunch and snacks. (Costs is responsibility of the guests. ) We will be mindful to make frequent restroom stops, as well. * This itinerary can be customized upon request. Feel free to message me.
