Hello! My name is Paula and I want to welcome you to my dear New York City, a cosmopolitan hub of innovation and lights. I came to NYC by way of Boston MA, Italy, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina where I was born. Living in different continents and traveling from the age of 5 years old gave me the opportunity to learn different languages and cultures. These experiences have deepened my passion for photography, history, architecture, and different cuisines. I could show you NYC in a unique way, through the eyes of a current local who sees the Statue of Liberty every day through her window pane as a world traveler who dreamt of seeing that same statue. Licensed NYC Tour Guide CPR and FIRST AID & AED Certified I am not a driver. But I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Evolution and Inspiration: On this tour, I'll cover the evolution of the Hudson Yards from then to now, and help you imagine what this area was like 400 years ago. This is the largest private development project in NYC's history and it's birthing an entirely new city within the city, right on top of the Hudson River Railroad. You will see new skyscrapers and even an outdoor observation deck. I'll also share the history of the High Line, Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District with you. Also do you know many shows have been and are still filmed at Chelsea Market? Here they shoot Iron Chef America, 30 Minute Meals, Guy's Big Bite, Tyler's Ultimate, Cooking for Real, The Next Food Network Star, Ultimate Recipe Showdown, Essence of Emeril, and Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Personally, I'm a fan of all these shows described down here! I also love the culinary side of NYC, my family had an Italo-American restaurant and I was in charge of the menu and the culinary classes.
· I propose to meet at Hudson Yards, in front of the Commercial Center, although we can always customize the meeting point as well as this itinerary. · We'll then explore Hudson Yards, the Vessel, and the Shed. · Afterwards, we'll go on a beautiful walk across the High Line, a neighborhood created around old railway lines. · Next, we'll continue to Little Island, where trust me, you'll be surprised! · Then it's on to Chelsea Market, a place full of history and filled with shops, cafes (and restrooms). · We'll then have a coffee break in a local venue. · Later we'll head to the Meatpacking District, an area with a very interesting history, distinct fashion, and high tech. · Next, we'll enjoy strolling through NYC's newest park Little Island. This itinerary can be customized upon request.
