I am native New Yorker, born and raised in Manhattan. Growing up from a young age I always loved spending my free time at museums, and riding the subway to different neighborhoods to explore. I have a B.A. in theatre from Binghamton University and have worked on various film, TV, theatre and commercial projects. I became a licensed tour guide in 2013, and have done tours with both small and large groups, including walking tours, as well as public transportation/bus tours. I love showing my hometown to both visitors and to locals who want to explore and learn more about this great city. In taking one of my tours, my goal is for you to experience New York like a local. Therefore, my tours are done either on foot or with public transportation, the most typical ways to get around here. You can choose from one of my tours listed and I would also be happy to work with you to customize either a half or full day tour to check off as many bucket list items of yours as possible.

Let's explore Greenwich Village together, a neighbourhood that once had the nickname Little Bohemia due to the offbeat lifestyles of those who lived there. It's one of the few Manhattan neighbourhoods that still looks and feels like Old New York with its winding streets, tree lined blocks, gorgeous brownstones & townhouses. But beyond Greenwich Village, we'll take a quick look at the Meatpacking district too. Once home to 250 slaughterhouses, today this neighbourhood is known for its high-end boutiques, restaurants & night clubs. We'll also visit the highline, an elevated park which was once a freight rail line. I'll tell you about the history of the tracks, as well as some of the reasons why it was rendered obsolete. Along the way, you'll get to see where the Oreo cookie was invented, as well as a great blend of old and new architecture. We'll be exploring up to the far west side of Manhattan on this tour!
·We'll kick off our tour outside the Stonewall Inn, which in 1969 was a turning point in the struggle for LGBTQ rights. ·Next, we'll see a locksmith with a wall of thousands of keys wielded together. ·We'll then walk down beautiful tree lined Commerce Street and see the narrowest house in Manhattan afterwards. ·Later, I'll tell you about how the phrase "86 something" originated. ·We'll then see the apartment building from the hit TV Show Friends. ·Next, we'll walk over to Grove Court and marvel at the spectacular row of over 100-year old townhouses. ·As we continue onto the highline, we'll walk through the meatpacking district. ·Afterwards, we'll clime the stairs to walk the Highline where we'll see fascinating art installations. ·Then as we make out way north, we'll see a mixture of old factories & warehouses, along with lots of new construction. ·The end point of our tour will be the Hudson Yards, a brand new mixed use neighbourhood.
