It takes a real New Yorker with a deep-rooted passion for the city to offer real New York tours. If anyone can show you the nooks and crannies of the NY streets and eats, yours truly! No one knows New York better! I am a licensed New York City tour guide as well as an authentic, native New Yorker. In college, I used to drive a New York City Checker Cab to help pay my college expenses, which helped me learn the ins and outs of every borough. During my lifetime in New York, I have experienced the evolutionary changes of the city’s diverse neighbourhoods. This, coupled with a keen interest in New York history, trains and subways, I believe makes me the ideal NY tour guide. Are you ready for the ultimate neighbourhood tour of NYC and to see the sights through the eyes of a quintessential New Yorker? My Bagel Tours are the real deal! I offer private and customized tours of New York City, each one starting with a bagel, fresh out of the oven. What could be better than beginning your NYC tours with the most iconic food of New York?

Imagine going from a neighborhood with genuine dim sum and Chinese dumplings to one with authentic Italian cheeses, olives, and Sicilian pastry! I will show you the way to these delicacies and more delicious eats (including your own fresh garlic bagel) as well as share the rich history of these adjoining landmark neighborhoods. As we walk around, we'll see many famous restaurants and the infamous site of 5 Points, one of the most dangerous areas up until the 1900's. Chinese and Italian immigrants first came to New York in the 1800’s and settled on these streets in lower Manhattan now known as Chinatown and Little Italy. Their cultural contributions are legendary and are still visible in these vibrant communities.
-From our starting point, we will walk along Canal Street to the Bowery to start seeing the sites of Chinatown. -From there we will walk down the Battery to Chatham Square and go up Mulberry Street, the main strip of Chinatown. -What follows be one side trip to Doyers Street where the first Dim Sum in America was established. -We'll later head up to little Italy on Mulberry Street where I will share a bit of the area's history (maybe a stop for a Cannoli?). -We will finish the tour by the original St. Patrick's Cathedral.
