We had a terrific time visiting Stonehenge and Windsor Castle! Ian took us to a delightful pub for lunch and got us back to Heathrow with plenty of time to make our flight. This was an amazing way to end our vacation!

Hi I'm Ian and welcome to my world! I was born and grew up in the Hampshire countryside just outside of Southampton so if you would like a tour with a local, look no further. I would love to share with you my local knowledge and life experiences including a few tales of my own travels. Travelling has been in my blood since I was young. I have been fortunate to visit more than forty countries across America, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Europe, and still have many more on my list to see. Travelling has always been a passion, but it really kick-started with my 20, 000km charity bike ride from London in England to Cape Town in South Africa in 2010. The journey was the best experience of my life. I ended it on a high, experiencing the World Cup, and realised I had the bug to keep going. I spent the next year working hard to raise the money I needed to keep moving across the world. I worked as an English teacher in a rural Chinese town called Langfang before continuing my travel and work through Asia and on to Australia. I wanted to experience different methods of travelling, so during those four and a half years I cycled, rowed, walked, hitch hiked, motor cycled, use public transport and rode horses. Since returning home to England I've started a family with my partner Maja; in 2016 we were blessed with the birth of our son, Eryk. Being a Dad hasn't dimmed my passion for travel and inspired me to work as a tour guide. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful area with many fascinating places to visit just a short drive away. I therefore decided to welcome people to Southampton and take them to see some of the many interesting places all over Southern England. My ethos as a tour guide has always been "treat your guests as though they were close friends" Together we are going to discover what makes the area close to Southampton so special. We will explore the famous sights, walk-through Fairy-Tale villages and taste the local food of this magical part of the world; full of culture and history. Overview of your Southampton tour
I will meet you on arrival at Southampton Cruise Terminal and relax in the comfort of my air-conditioned vehicle. We will drive to Stonehenge and I will guide you around this ancient stone circle to explain its fascinating history including mysteries and legends surrounding the enigmatic stone ring. I grew up a short distance from Stonehenge and will tell you some of my own stories about camping by the stones with friends. From Stonehenge we continue to Windsor and I will allow you time to explore Windsor Castle independently. I will pre-book tickets to ensure fast track entry to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. After you finish exploring the historically rich town of Windsor we will depart for the direct journey to London where I will drop you off at your London hotel or Heathrow Airport. I can also run this tour in reverse if you would like a pre trip transfer from London to Southampton.

Ian arrived early at our London hotel. His vehicle had plenty of room for the 6 passengers and many pieces of luggage. He provided a lot of information on our way to Stonehenge. He was very informative and personable. After our tour of Stonehenge we continued on to Southampton Port where Ian made sure we arrived at our check in time.
