Day tour to Salisbury and Stonehenge

I will meet you on arrival at Southampton Cruise Terminal or at your Southampton hotel and we will travel in the comfort of a spacious air-conditioned vehicle. You'll start the day by travelling to Salisbury a historic city that grew up around its impressive cathedral. Here I will tell you about 800 years of history at one of the UK's most iconic medieval buildings. The Cathedral is my favourite example of early English Gothic architecture with fascinating treasures including the original 1215 Magna Carta, one of only four in the world. After a quick lunch in my favourite local pub we drive to the prehistoric stone circle of Stonehenge where I will tell you all about its history and ancient beliefs associated to this mysterious place plus some of my own stories about camping by the stones with friends when growing up. We then drive back to your Southampton cruise in plenty of time for your departure.
