Hi, I'm Ray! My tours offer a fun and relaxed style of bespoke and unique content. I am flexible to accommodate any of your interests and cultural insights. The best way to describe my tours is that I will "hold your hand" for the day, have unlimited photo opportunities and show you those unique and interesting places that only a London Taxi Driver will know. We will drive, walk, laugh and learn. My highest achievement is being a proud father of 4, following that I have been a licensed London Black Taxi Driver since completing the London knowledge in 1987. I studied the knowledge whilst working as a Printer in Fleet Street (home of London's newspaper industry) during the '80s. More recently in 2016, I qualified as a Taxi Guide with the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, studying at the City of London Museum. I was made in London, and have remained a resident Londoner. I love to share my knowledge and passion for this beautiful city that I call home. I have so much to share with you - stories and sites from Roman remain to the current day. I have travelled extensively across the world touring South East Asia, China, Australia, South Pacific, East to West coast across North America, and Europe. As an extensive traveller myself, I feel that I can provide what tourists would be looking for in their experience visiting London. Licensed London Taxi Driver since 1987, license originally issued my the Metropolitan Police of London. Qualified Taxi Guide, issued by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers.

Overview of your Southampton tour

Visit the charming town of Windsor and explore the oldest and largest occupied Royal castle in the world. Windsor has so much to offer and is a must for a day out. Windsor Castle has been home to Monarchs for close to one thousand years and was Queen Elizabeth II's favourite country retreat, closest to London. St George's Chapel, located within the Castle, is the resting place of Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth II, as well as many more royals. It is also where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were married. This private tour has something for all ages. It is a door to door service from Southampton dock and can accommodate up to 8 people. Every tour is unique and customized to each individual customer.

Raymond did a terrific job. From picking us up on time to delivering us right to our hotel in London. The ride was filled with British History and explanations of the political system and the Monarchy. His tour of Windsor and the castle was great. He knew where to park so baggage would be safe and knew the Castle backwards and forwards. We lucked into a ceremony that King Charles was an integral part of and were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of him. Ray’s castle knowledge was instrumental as he got us in prime position to view the event.

We were a group of 4 couples and booked this tour with Ray after our cruise. It was fantastic! Ray was an amazing guide! He was so knowledgeable and made everything so interesting. He has an amazing delivery of information and is very funny and personable. He obtained the tickets for us to enter Wndsor castle and was our guide as we walked through each amazing room. Ray even arranged a lunch for us in the town of Windsor at the Boatman that is right on the Thames...I highly recommend the fish and chips! After our busy day, we were dropped off at our London hotel. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend you book a tour with Ray, you wont be disappointed.

Raymond was an excellent guide & a wealth of information for our private tour of Windsor Castle. We were also able to view the changing of the guard & took a walk around the charming town of Windsor where he pointed out various points of interest. At the conclusion of the tour, Raymond drove through Eton before dropping us off at our London hotel. We enjoyed our day of touring with Raymond & highly recommend him as a guide.

We had a spectacular day. Having a local, knowledgeable guide really makes a difference. Raymond knew where we needed to be to bet the crowds, which exhibit we should see first. He had so much historical knowledge of Windsor, it was quite astonishing. He hinted at the beginning of the tour we might see the King if stuck with him. He said we needed to be in a specific location, at a specific time and at that exact time, the King & Queen and Prince & Princess of Wales drove right past us! AMAZING

Your Southampton tour itinerary

Pick up from cruise ship at Southampton. Travel time to Windsor approximately 1. 5 hours drive. Upon arrival in Windsor, we will visit Windsor Castle and also St George's Chapel. Please note I am unable to guide within the castle, however I wil escort you through. After visiting the historic buildings we can stroll through old Windsor, taking in the picturesque streets and alleyways adjacent to the castle, whilst heading towards the River Thames to cross over the water into the neighbouring village of Eton. At the end of our visit to Windsor, if time allows, we can also stop off and visit the historic sight of Runnymede, which is where King John signed the Magna Carta. Drop off Southampton cruise terminal, central London hotel or Heathrow airport.
