Epic Stonehenge & Medieval Salisbury, Shore Excursion from Southampton

The thing that makes a private tour worth it are a few things, and this tour had all of those in Aces. Pre-tour communications, comfortable simple easy pick-up for tour, Knowledgeable not only in the subject of the tour but the best times, places and secrets of "getting it all in", interested in the tour as much as we are, able to shift gears if something comes up. Admittedly my wife and I are difficult clients. Elderly, slow getting around. Lily was patient, knew the right places to take us, and all in all it was one of the best private tours we have had.

Our tour was great. Lillian was wonderful. While we were at Stonehenge, I expected to see Stonehenge and move to the next list on the tour. Lillian spent the time to explain how it was built and the reason on the location and that it was a sundial. We learned more than we ever expected. The next part of the tour was a visit to Salisbury. The Salisbury Cathedral was in amazing. Seeing the Magna Carta at the Cathedral reminded that the Magna Carta was part of how the USA Bill of Rights were created. Salisbury will be an area to return to and spend more time. Finally, spending time between the location and returning to Southampton Lillian helped us understand the history of the various Kings, English Reformation and of course Stonehenge. We would strongly recommend Lillian. If we have the chance to return to Southampton UK we hope we have the opportunity to spend time with Lillian again.

Extremely knowledgeable, engaging, calm and kind - everything you could ask for and more in a guided experience! We've been on a plethora of tours and occasionally the information can become so much you start to be unable to soak everything in. With Lilly I feel like I learned and retained more information than almost any other tour! Her clear passion for the subject matter and region is inspiring!
