Hi I'm Ian and welcome to my world! I was born and grew up in the Hampshire countryside just outside of Southampton so if you would like a tour with a local, look no further. I would love to share with you my local knowledge and life experiences including a few tales of my own travels. Travelling has been in my blood since I was young. I have been fortunate to visit more than forty countries across America, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Europe, and still have many more on my list to see. Travelling has always been a passion, but it really kick-started with my 20, 000km charity bike ride from London in England to Cape Town in South Africa in 2010. The journey was the best experience of my life. I ended it on a high, experiencing the World Cup, and realised I had the bug to keep going. I spent the next year working hard to raise the money I needed to keep moving across the world. I worked as an English teacher in a rural Chinese town called Langfang before continuing my travel and work through Asia and on to Australia. I wanted to experience different methods of travelling, so during those four and a half years I cycled, rowed, walked, hitch hiked, motor cycled, use public transport and rode horses. Since returning home to England I've started a family with my partner Maja; in 2016 we were blessed with the birth of our son, Eryk. Being a Dad hasn't dimmed my passion for travel and inspired me to work as a tour guide. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful area with many fascinating places to visit just a short drive away. I therefore decided to welcome people to Southampton and take them to see some of the many interesting places all over Southern England. My ethos as a tour guide has always been "treat your guests as though they were close friends" Together we are going to discover what makes the area close to Southampton so special. We will explore the famous sights, walk-through Fairy-Tale villages and taste the local food of this magical part of the world; full of culture and history. My private customized tours are born out of a desire to share one of the world's most beautiful and historical regions with you! I look forward to welcoming you to Southampton and showing you some of the hidden gems that Southern England has to offer. I am a registered private hire driver with relevant insurance to run tours as a driver guide throughout England Award winner of Luxe Life Magazines - Best Private Tours Provider 2019 - Southern England Award winner of Oxfordshire Prestige Awards - Oxfordshire Tour Company of the Year 2019 I do not have a license to give tours inside the Roman Baths

I will meet you on arrival at Southampton Cruise Terminal and relax in the comfort of my air-conditioned vehicle. I will drive you to Oxford where we will enjoy a walking tour of this fascinating University City. The beautiful city of dreaming spires has been home to scholars and royals for over 800 years. I will take you to see many of the famous sights plus those hidden gems only a local will know about. Our next stop is the UNESCO-listed Blenheim Palace, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful palaces in the UK and the birth place of Winston Churchill. I love Blenheim Palace so much that I regularly visit on my days off with my family and my son enjoys exploring its magnificent grounds and playing in the children's play area. After we finish exploring Blenheim Palace we will depart for the direct journey to London where I will drop you off at your London hotel or Heathrow Airport. I can also run this tour in reverse if you would like a pre trip transfer from London to Southampton.
