Hi I'm Ian and welcome to my world! I was born and grew up in the Hampshire countryside just outside of Southampton so if you would like a tour with a local, look no further. I would love to share with you my local knowledge and life experiences including a few tales of my own travels. Travelling has been in my blood since I was young. I have been fortunate to visit more than forty countries across America, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Europe, and still have many more on my list to see. Travelling has always been a passion, but it really kick-started with my 20, 000km charity bike ride from London in England to Cape Town in South Africa in 2010. The journey was the best experience of my life. I ended it on a high, experiencing the World Cup, and realised I had the bug to keep going. I spent the next year working hard to raise the money I needed to keep moving across the world. I worked as an English teacher in a rural Chinese town called Langfang before continuing my travel and work through Asia and on to Australia. I wanted to experience different methods of travelling, so during those four and a half years I cycled, rowed, walked, hitch hiked, motor cycled, use public transport and rode horses. Since returning home to England I've started a family with my partner Maja; in 2016 we were blessed with the birth of our son, Eryk. Being a Dad hasn't dimmed my passion for travel and inspired me to work as a tour guide. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful area with many fascinating places to visit just a short drive away. I therefore decided to welcome people to Southampton and take them to see some of the many interesting places all over Southern England. My ethos as a tour guide has always been "treat your guests as though they were close friends" Together we are going to discover what makes the area close to Southampton so special. We will explore the famous sights, walk-through Fairy-Tale villages and taste the local food of this magical part of the world; full of culture and history. My private customized tours are born out of a desire to share one of the world's most beautiful and historical regions with you! I look forward to welcoming you to Southampton and showing you some of the hidden gems that Southern England has to offer. Overview of your Southampton tour

I will meet you on arrival at Southampton Cruise Terminal or at your Southampton hotel and we will travel in the comfort of a spacious air-conditional vehicle. You'll start the day by visiting my favourite city in England, the UNESCO listed city of Bath. Here you will get to enjoy a walking tour of this beautiful city. During the tour you will see Bath's famous attractions such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge plus some hidden gems. . After your walking tour of Bath you will have time to visit the Roman Baths independently. After a quick lunch we drive to the prehistoric stone circle of Stonehenge where I will tell you all about its history and ancient beliefs associated to this mysterious place. I grew up a short distance from Stonehenge and will tell you some of my own stories about camping by the stones with friends. After Stonehenge we then drive back to your Southampton cruise in plenty of time for your departure.

Ian did a fine job. He is punctual, knowledgeable and allowed us time where we needed it. The Bath Cathedral interior is not included in this tour, so if it is of interest let him know. If it were me I would forgo the crescent and add the Abby. The crescent and circle are just luxury condos with a bit of a story - a drive by would be sufficient.

Off to the Cotswolds we went. We had a itinerary set, but we were able to adjust and visit Oxford on our way. Once we got into the villages we learned something much about each one. Experienced flavors of English life and food. Great tour and flexible scheduling. Special thank you to Jo.

Took a tour to Stonehenge and Bath. Best day we could have had. The drive down narrow roads was exciting, the facts and scenery were amazing. Stonehenge and Bath are must see locations. We had someone with limited mobility and all accommodations were made, which made our group feel so special and like family. Special thank you to Jo.

Absolutely fantastic tour! Ian did a wonderful job and we had a fabulous day! Picked us up right on time in a beautiful and comfortable van. Excellent knowledge about the tour sights and great stories! Would highly recommend!!! Best part was not having to walk all the way back to the car after seeing Bath, a perfect touch after a long tiring day of touring!

Ian was great he put together a custom itinerary and dropped us off at our hotel in London. He picked us at the Cruise ship with our luggage, got us to Stonehenge before the crowds and then to the city of Bath where he recommended a lunch spot and then a tour of The Roman Baths. A truly enjoyable day.
