Hello, my name is Jack Rigby (i still need to check my ancestry to see if Eleanor is a relation) and I live and work in the great city of Liverpool that you will be visiting. i'm sure you already know but Liverpool is a fantastic city in the North West of England that is steeped in rich history, from the legendary band "The Beatles", to the world famous Liverpool Football Club, to centuries old beautiful Architecture - Liverpool has so much to offer (i'm biased of course, but it's true). So that's where I come in! Visiting such a vast-diverse city is exciting and i'm sure you want to make the most of your time and see and experience all the best parts. I believe I am just the man for the job. I have 14 years experience guiding in and around the city. I worked for 9 years for Liverpool Football club (who are currently one of the best teams on the planet), taking fans from all around the world around our beautiful stadium Anfield and telling them about the history of the club and some great stories too. I have also worked on the LFC open top tour bus (for 4 years), which takes tourists from the beautiful water front of Liverpool's Albert Docks down to the stadium and back again. In this tour I not only talk about football but include a lot of info about Liverpool's great builidngs and maritime history. I am a guide who is organised and has structure, but also likes to be flexible, have fun and allow you the freedom to contribute and change things in the moment on the day. As ultimately this is your tour and your experience, so you getting the most out of it is paramount. And of course I am a local "scouser", (a scouser is a nickname for a person from Liverpool). Overview of your Liverpool tour
Growing up in Liverpool "The Beatles" definitely played a big part in my life. I remember back to my grandad playing me their records on his old record player and telling me stories of how he saw them play many times at "The Cavern Club". Fast forward 20-plus years and I am now the one taking people around the city and telling stories about the "Fab Four". The city is filled with famous landmarks and places that are deeply linked to the band. On this tour we make our way to each one, taking in John Lennon's childhood home, Penny lane and the Cavern club - to name but a few. Not to mention the grave of Eleanor Rigby, who could be a relative of mine as we share the same surname (I really need to look into my family tree). Whilst in between each place of course being entertained by their greatest hits. The story of The Beatles is such a special one and is best told in the city where it was created. So, book with me, and let's discover it together!

The beauty of a tour guide is trust! Jack is an amazing tour guide. Liverpool is an awesome place filled with beautiful history. Jack met us Thursday evening providing us a short tour around the Mersey River. Unbeknownst to us, he was setting us up for best tour of “The Beatles” ! Jack took us to different locations to see the upbringing of “Paul McCarthy and John Lennon”. The story Jack told about Eleanor Rigby is alone worth the tour.

Jack shared so many interesting and fun facts about the Fab Four that he should be known as the 5th Beatle! We popped in and out of the car visiting the homes, schools, Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby's gravesite, Strawberry Field, Matthew Street, The Cavern and more, as Jack explained how these sites played significant roles in the writing of the songs we know and love.

In this tour we will visit all of the most iconic places and landmarks linked to "The Beatles". - "The Beatles" statue (Pier Head) - Johns art school & Paul and George's High School. - Ringo Starrs Childhood home. - Penny Lane. - John Lennon's Childhood home. - Paul McCartney's childhood home. - Strawberry Field. - John Lennon's home (with his Aunt Mimi). - St Peters church - the grave of Eleanor Rigby & where John and Paul first met. This tour is structured but you are free to change things as we go if you'd like. There is some walking between sites but not too much. Driving between some may take 15/20 minutes.
