Hello, my name is Jack Rigby (i still need to check my ancestry to see if Eleanor is a relation) and I live and work in the great city of Liverpool that you will be visiting. i'm sure you already know but Liverpool is a fantastic city in the North West of England that is steeped in rich history, from the legendary band "The Beatles", to the world famous Liverpool Football Club, to centuries old beautiful Architecture - Liverpool has so much to offer (i'm biased of course, but it's true). So that's where I come in! Visiting such a vast-diverse city is exciting and i'm sure you want to make the most of your time and see and experience all the best parts. I believe I am just the man for the job. I have 14 years experience guiding in and around the city. I worked for 9 years for Liverpool Football club (who are currently one of the best teams on the planet), taking fans from all around the world around our beautiful stadium Anfield and telling them about the history of the club and some great stories too. I have also worked on the LFC open top tour bus (for 4 years), which takes tourists from the beautiful water front of Liverpool's Albert Docks down to the stadium and back again. In this tour I not only talk about football but include a lot of info about Liverpool's great builidngs and maritime history. I am a guide who is organised and has structure, but also likes to be flexible, have fun and allow you the freedom to contribute and change things in the moment on the day. As ultimately this is your tour and your experience, so you getting the most out of it is paramount. And of course I am a local "scouser", (a scouser is a nickname for a person from Liverpool). Overview of your Liverpool tour
After being requested by customers several times to combine my North Wales Castles tour with a mix of The Beatles - I have now made it an official tour. This tour has it all, as we get to travel to Wales and check out Conwy Castle and the beautiful village of Betsw-y-coed, but also some of The Beatles most iconic places. I have really enjoyed combining these two different tours and I am sure you will too. I am also happy to change parts of the itinerary to suit.
Your Liverpool tour itinerary
- Drive from Liverpool to North Wales taking us through Snowdonia National Park. - Visit the historic village of Conwy - visiting both of the Castle and Conwy Quay. - Visit the smallest house in Great Britain (it's tiny and a short walk from the castle). - Drive to the village of Betsw-y-coed and then have a walk through one of the most beautiful places in Wales. - If you like we can then stop for lunch at a traditional village pub. - Head back to Liverpool to take in some of The Beatles history. - Strawberry Field. - John Lennon's Childhood home. - St Peters Church (the grave of Eleanor Rigby and where John and Paul first met). - Penny Lane.
