To say I am passionate about guiding tourists through this area is an understatement. I have been doing it on a voluntary basis since childhood and believe totally in my ability as a guide as much as I believe that the Glens of Antrim are unsurpassed in terms of scenery anywhere in the world. A quest to uncover the world of Irish fairies and ghouls! Travel through the fabled Glens of Antrim searching out the haunts of mythical Irish spirits once common in Irish society. Hear tales of "The Banshee", the harbinger of death to many Irish families. Visit a "fairy thorn" where even today Glens men fear to wander after the hours of darkness, for "fear of the Little Folk". Hear stories of "leprechauns, grogaghs and ghosts" on this light hearted jaunt through stunning scenery. The "fairies", have for hundeds of years, played an important part in Irish life and customs. Held in fearful respect by generations of Irishmen and women in a way similar, to that of the Church, these spirits (if that is what they are) have been held responsible for deaths, disappearances and bad luck but also have brought health and wellbeing to many. Fallen angels or a once proud race forced to live underground no-one can say but to many, myself included they are totally real, YOU DECIDE!
An enjoyable tour on a rainy Irish day. John knows this area and will find the areas the buses can’t get to. Waterfalls, sheep, archeological sites, fairy tree, seaside, GOT, and lots of beautiful scenery. We took this private tour from a cruise ship dock in Belfast. Recommended!
Beautiful tour would highly recommend. We got to see a lot of the beautiful country side and John was very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us time to enjoy a local pub where we got a true taste of the ale and the locals. It was a lot of fun.

Our 5 family members booked the fairies and folklore excursion with John and it was THE highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland. He immersed us in the stunning beauty of the country. culture, folklore, and history. Visit location sites from Game of Thrones and hear stories from the area. 13. 45-Lunch in Mary Mc Brides (once said to be the smallest bar in Ireland but now an award winning restaurant) 14. 45-(Dependent on time) Torr Road-Ballycastle.
