'The highlight of my trip to Ireland'. . . . is a review that I have received numerous times. Dig your hiking boots out. . . . I specialise in taking you on stunning walks and short hikes in our spectacular places. I work full time as a guide, so provided you are quick enough, you should find lots of availability. The Causeway Coast and Glens is one of the most beautiful corners in Ireland - up in the very north east. My tours specialise in truly experiencing the best of the stunning landscapes by (largely) dodging the popular attractions in favour of spending quality time out in the landscape. . . we still visit the top spots but in a much more unique and memorable way. Whether it is hiking along the stunning Causeway cliffs for 5 miles (8K) to reach the Causeway stones or visiting a truly hidden gem for walking at Murlough and Fair Head, I pride myself in delivering authentic tours IN the landscape, not just driving past for some photographs. I've been a guide since 2013 and I absolutely LOVE showing this beautiful place, that I get to call home, to visitors from around the world. I have a degree in Irish History and am happy to talk about history but I equally love the bird life, the sheep, the farming heritage, the spring flowers, the geology etc. I am Belfast born and bred. I have also travelled the world including living abroad for five years. I have visited the United States over 15 times as well as numerous places across Europe, Asia and Australia. I've lots more to see though. I even walked the 500 mile Camino de Santiago in 2012. . . a journey that ultimately led to me giving walking and hiking tours in my native Ireland. I LOVE being in the outdoors but more importantly I love creating the experiences for you that have been described by others as the 'highlight of my trip to Ireland', or 'a tour I will cherish for the rest of my life', . . . Since 2013 when I started as a guide, I've delivered thousands of tours for thousands of people across all types of tours, from 50 seat coaches to guiding just two people on a short hike. I am now proud to offer private tours in my own vehicle. I excel at adapting tour, route and pace to my guests. My tours are perfect for people who really want the road less travelled. In order to enjoy my tours you simple need a base level of (average) fitness, an interest in being in the outdoors and a minimum level of appropriate footwear and clothing. If you are active and looking for something truly unique and off the beaten path then I very much look forward to hearing from you. . . or better yet. . . if I'm available and you are too. . . then just book it! See you at the pick up location. . . The happiest days of my childhood where spent with my siblings running up and down sand dunes in our swimsuits on the beaches of the Causeway coast, while our Mum knit our school sweaters on the beach, a flask of tea by her side. I can still hear the giggles and feel the course grasses beating our bare legs! Today I am privileged to be able to showcase this stunning coast and share it with YOU (no sea swimming necessary). The Giant's Causeway tour is a very popular day tour and is often a 'once in a lifetime' experience - you deserve to make this day special. We will enjoy a beautiful coast drive, driving past beautiful beaches, stopping in Carnlough before arriving at the rope bridge - should you dare to cross it or just take in the scenery. We will then visit the Giant's Causeway with plenty of time for seeing the rocks and time for a pub lunch and maybe a Guinness! Finallly we will enjoy a photo stop at the ruin of Dunluce Castle and a wee dram at the world's oldest 'licensed' whiskey distillery.
- Pick Up in central Belfast or at the port (other locations are possible) - Enjoy a stunning, meandering coastal drive with a stop at Carnlough village and harbour. - Arrive at Carrick A Rede Rope Bridge - 20 minute walk to bridge, then crossing and returning to car park. - A little futher along the coast we will visit the UNESCO Giant's Causeway - wear sensible shoes! - Enjoy a pub lunch - there is an option to buy a picnic and enjoy that on the stones instead. - Stop nearby to take a photo of the majestic Dunluce Castle. - Enjoy a wee dram at Bushmills Whiskey distillery. Whiskey Tours are also possible but wouldn't allow time for the rope bridge and must be booked well in advance. Most guests are happy to enjoy a well earned drink rather than do a tour. Also if we opt for a picnic over a pub lunch we will usually be able to visit the amazing Dark Hedges - we can easily make these minor adjustments on the day. - 1 hour inland drive back to Belfast (snoring optional).

The address is listed as the 'Giant's Causeway' so that you can find me when you search for the Causeway. This tour can pick up anywhere along the Causeway Coast. Almost all of my Causeway tours pick up at Belfast port or Belfast city centre.
