Hello, this is Oğuz! I was born on the Black Sea coast of Turkey and spent my childhood there till university. I studied in Konya for 3 years Tourism and Guiding and after I graduated, I moved to Istanbul. I'm a family man living in Istanbul with my wife and our two sons together. We love Istanbul a lot! At the moment, I'm a professional tourist guide and working in tourism since 2008. I like the history of Istanbul because it's such an open type of history, you may learn lots of new details all the time related to it. It's also a multicultural city where you may find the different tastes and items belong to Anatolia. Of course, a local guide will be helpful for you to find for what you look for. I like to help our guests to show them some hidden gems where only local people know and prepare some small surprises for them. It should be the best way of traveling to keep something always on mind and remember when you turn back to your country. It's the unforgettable memories you will always remember with you and tell your friends the stories you heard and food you tasted! On my tours, I offer you a different type of pleasures you may experience but I am also open to make a flexible and customized tour just for you! It's always a privilege to have a tour with a local guide! Wish you all the best for your trip to Turkey. Istanbul was established on seven hills they say. It's true! On this tour, we will have a chance to visit and stay around some of these hills. Instead of staying in a more touristic part and most visited sights, we will head through the west and discover new experiences. In the Ottoman and Byzantine eras, the most talented Architects constructed their masterpieces on the top of hills to make a great sign of their arts and honor the rulers. Not only the art also different religions and how they affect the lives of other ethnic communities. Old Orthodox, Islamic, and Jewish settlements will be on our way, too. I invite you to join me to explore this mystic part of Istanbul.
- Suleymaniye Mosque and Surroundings - Sehzadebasi Mosque and Surroundings - Valens Aquaducts ( taking the photo ) - Break at Chora Mosque ( Good news!!! It's re-opened again after 4 years! ) - Byzantine Palace and Tile Museum ( Tekfur Palace, Closed on Monday ) - Walking near the Old City Walls - Balat and Fener district - Greek Orthodox Patriarch Church - Spice Market - Rustem Pasha Mosque
