Sailing in Istanbul full-day tour

Thank you for the wonderful memories! Our first time sailing in the Mediterranean! Sergün is an experienced sailor and tour guide with a calm and easy demeanour, just the kind of person that you would trust to take you off shore and into the enchanting waters of Istanbul. He is no frills, everything you see and experience is genuine and truly a part of his world.

The highlight of our week in Istanbul was the day my wife and I went sailing on the Bosporus River and the Sea of Marmara. After a week visiting all the historic sights, navigating the Metro, taking a Turkish bath, and whirling with the Dervishes, we climbed aboard Sergun's private sailboat to to view Istanbul's two continents. What an unforgettable memory thanks to Sergun who, besides being our outstanding personal guide for the week, is also a sailing instructor, boat captain, and owner of a 40' sloop. As we sailed along, we viewed the busy harbor with countless ferry boats, freighters, pleasure boats and navel vessels plying the waters. Sergun pointed out historical attractions we had visited days earlier (they look much different from the water!) as well as a few new destinations to see later. Thank you, Sergun, for this unique experience.

After a comprehensive first day tour in Istanbul, we thought sailing on the Bosphorus would provide a good contrast, and that was a correct assessment. Getting to the marina to meet Sergun was pretty straightforward. We were very comfortable on his 40 foot sailboat, and the perspective you get viewing Istanbul from the iconic Bosphorus is completely different. If you have 3 days in Istanbul, this is an especially good choice for a second day. Sergun was great company and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. A great day!

our sailing with Sergun was magic. he kindly picked us il from the airpot, had our first Turkish kebab delivered to the boat with some snacks and the bottle of wonderful sparkling wine was ready as we entered Bosphorus to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my husband. Bosphorus by night , mixture of lights and history was special and remarkable moment of our trip to remember

Sergun, is a very good guide, quite knowledgeable about the Islands and Istanbul, Nice, friendly and very professional in all aspects. He can lead you off the beaten track and most popular places. He was attentive to take us to enjoy, have a great experience and fun. Is perfect for a first time travel to Istanbul or if you have been there before. Strongly recommended.
