Private Tour of Grand Bazaar Spice Market Tour

Dilek let me know that she was going to be late picking me up from my hotel. I appreciate her letting me know (I like people who communicates clearly). Dilek is such a delight to tour with. She helped me understand the Grand Bazaar which could be so overwhelming for me (Oh my, so much to see and buy). We did go to one of her fav shops, and I bought a Kafka (sorry, if I spelled this wrong). It's a beautiful outfit that I plan to wear to a wedding next year. (It's a little dangerous when they offer you tea or coffee, because they're making you feel relaxed and I end up purchasing something. LOL). We went to the Spice Bazaar and public market, and she talked to me about everything in the bazaar. We also had this delicious "hamburger patties" with bread. It was good. We also had the time to have tea and sweets in this beautiful place (lots of people). Overall, Dilek is a fun person to be with. I enjoyed my time touring the bazaar! Thank you Dilek!

Dilek was a great guide. Not only did she navigate through the city, the grand bazaar, local market and spice market, she also provided information and explanations along the way. She is a knowledgeable, informative and fun guide. She provided guidance on visiting other places of interest in Istanbul. We had a great day with her and I highly recommend her as a guide.

Dilek was very helpful. Met us at the cruise terminal so we didn’t have to try and navigate Istanbul. While 4000 stalls at the Grand Bazaar she took us to the ones that we were interested in seeing. She was extremely helpful.

Dilek was great! She really knows the area and gave us some great insight into the different sites. She was great at customizing the tour to meet our needs and she was very easy to work with. We would definitely work with her again. She was very flexible and we adjusted easily on the fly.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Dilek. She listened to our interests and guided us through the labyrinth of the Grand Bazaar, providing us with local history along the way. She is a delightful, intelligent guide!

I personally loved this tour! I had a list of things that I wanted to purchase from the shops and they did not disappoint! I will say that I could have haggled more...I am not all that comfortable with it, but it seemed to be expected and next time I will try harder. You can get the price you want if you walk away and other shops have similar items. My favorite was the Spice Market. It smelled so wonderful and there was so much to choose from! We came home with a huge bag of spices and nuts....love it! Our guide was awesome and incredibly patient as we shopped our way through the markets. She made sure we found everything on our list.
