Private Tour: Majestic Istanbul in 2 Days: A Journey through Time and Culture

Mehmet was excellent in navigating us through and sharing his knowledge of the historical sites of Istanbul. I appreciated his flexibility in providing me opportunities to rest as I am recovering from a knee injury and my endurance wasn't what it used to be. He had already purchased the tickets to the sites and facilitated shortening the lines, and finding me a place to sit while he and my sister were in the queues. Mehmet arranged for me to stay at a local cafe and people watch and enjoy Turkish tea, while he and my sister went to the Grand Bazaar so she could shop. (I had already been several times on previous trips.) I appreciated that Mehmet is also a world traveler which I believe gives him enlightened insights into his own country and culture. I would highly recommend Mehmet.

Mehmet was amazing!! There were 6 of us in our group and he referred to all of us by name. He had an abundance of knowledge more than we could have expected and was extremely flexible!! He was prompt and courteous and resourceful. Mehmet was so accommodating by getting our tickets and taking us to great spots to have lunch. He spoke quite rapidly so you had to listen but also actively engaged us in the conversations welcoming our questions. We loved being with Mehmet. He made our short stay in Istanbul very memorable.

Our group of 10 spent 2 amazing days with Mehmet experiencing Istanbul. I can’t even begin to imagine being able see and more importantly understand the unique history and culture of Istanbul without Mehmet’s experience and local perspective. It was truly an experience none of us will forget.

We enjoyed our 2 day tour with Mehmet - he had good information that we wouldn't have learned if we had tried to do it on our own and it made our experience that much better. With all the places we had lined up to see we were concerned we would be rushed going through each location but that wasn't the case at all. In fact, Mehmet repeatedly asked us if we were happy with what we saw and that was a good thing. Don't hesitate to book with Mehmet!

We had an excellent two-day tour with Mehmet in Istanbul. As we had five days in the city, and Istanbul was completely new to us? We opted to find an introduction to the city and how to get around and what to see. Mehmet provided the perfect introduction to a vibrant and complex city and its history. He has facts and info at the ready for any corner of the city. We also appreciated his help in prepping us to navigate the city during our tree remaining days. Mehmet was also very helpful and responsive with our wishes to see/do specific things not officially part of the tour and managing to work them into one day or the other. We also enjoyed the tasty local lunch spots we visited. We'd definitely recommend Mehmet for a fun, flexible, and enlightening look at Istanbul.

Had a great time with Mehmet. Took us to all of the essential city sites over our two-day tour. He really helped us get through the crowds to maximize our time at the sites. He was flexible and adjusted things according to our wishes and time. A great understanding of the city and its history. Would highly recommend him as your tour guide!
